Sasara sent me mail with a photo saying that shes taking the car out for a spin with her new boyfriend. What?! But I was thinking that this is a good way to use the carpool lane in America. For those who don't know, cars with two passengers or more can use a special lane to wizz through traffic - encouraging folks to travel in numbers which would reduce the number of cars on the road.
Wow, she's really making things her own isn't she. She doesn't hesitate with anything.
We got carpool lanes here in America too. And god they are handy. I remember many a year ago, we were stuck in bay area traffic, but carpool lane was totally empty !! We got to ride it. and forever will the words my cousin shouted in the car echo in my head... "hahaha, you aint go no friends!" 3 "cheers" for the carpool lane ! Banzai ! Banzai ! Banazai !
We have them in UK too not that all of them are effective. Usually both lanes are empty!
We've got them in some parts of Melbourne as well, mainly in high traffic areas haha.
roflmao. bitch-slap your cousin mate. oh wait, he's right. =P
it reminds me of Homer Simpson putting a hat and sunglasses on a giant candy ball, and using the carpool lane claiming he has a passenger XD BTW i can see that the wheel is on the right side of the car, what the? is it like in UK or something? i tried to ask my teacher and she said that in japan there are cars with wheels on the right side and cars with wheels on the left side. on what lane are you supposed to drive then? LOL
In Japan, they drive left, just like in the UK. But because not all cars (like sports cars) come with a wheel on the right side option, they just drive them with the wheel on the left side (like a Porsche for example).
I think driving with the wheel in the wrong side should be illegal. The reason is that sometimes we have to drive around something (like a parked car) and then you will need to look for oncoming traffic. If the driver is in the wrong side then it can be a game of luck. I tried driving a Japanese car once. However since the car was moved to Europe, I should still drive in the right side. Using the other hand for changing gear took some getting used to but I think the hardest part was that the "arms" for vipers and turn signals were switched. Oddly enough viewing from the "wrong" side of the car wasn't a problem but then again we didn't encounter any parked cars and nearly no traffic. It would be hell to drive in dense traffic and in fact the car is now completely wrecked because the driver failed to see oncoming traffic before turning left >.< Oh, and please don't ask how a Japanese car ended up in Europe.... it's a LONG story and that car has seen more of the world than I have :(
That's the thing that I think would take some getting used to. I drive (and have only driven manuals) so learning to shift with my left hand would be... entertaining to watch for sure.
Standard in Japan is like the UK, wheel on the right side...confused the heck out of me when I returned to the U.S. after having learned how to drive in Japan... ^^;
oh yeah! I loved that episode!
Yup, the safety belt is buckled. Safety first!
Never heard of carpool lanes. But I'm afraid Sasara will create some chaos in the roads.. And WUT? Sasara has a boyfriend now? Nuuuuuu
carpool lane on I-405,CA :the sign before the solid line starts http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3022/2616534579_979cacc9c6_o.jpg
It's actually a good idea. I heard that they made a tunnel somewhere in Spain (Madrid?) where you can go fast to the city centre. However they banned cars with only one person in that tunnel. As a result cars stops just before the tunnel and picks up strangers so they are allowed to use that tunnel and the strangers will get a faster ride to the city centre than the bus would give them. It's a good idea but personally I would never pick up a stranger. It would be too dangerous, at least here :(
who is her boyfriend?
I mean this in the least perverted way but....looking at this again, I bet it would be really nice to sit on her. Some car seats are a bit hard, but he fills out the seat in size rather well, it's like having a cuter version of those extra padded car seat covers you get XD
Hehe those pillows are a bit thick, so it's kinda dangerous to sit on that in the car ^^; For the backseat maybe when you want to lie down there.
lol. I wanna know who the lucky guy is.
Is that snow I see outside the car??
>Sasara sent me mail with a photo saying that shes taking the car out for a spin with her new boyfriend Did you tell her to be back before 11? :P >But I was thinking that this is a good way to use the carpool lane in America. It is also a good way to avoid getting your picture taken by a speed camera. Just when driving past the camera, take her into you lap:P
I wonder who's her boyfriend..
i didnt want to say this because it could break the heart of some people, but her boyfriend is me!....or not?
Well, she's just making herself right at home there, isn't she. Also, just who could this "boyfriend" of hers be.
Wait, so her boyfriend's driving? Do you trust this guy with your car?
I don't think so but it wouldn't be the first time that a young girl is supposed to stay at home alone and then the boyfriend shows up and takes both the girl and the car. Danny should give his guy a tenga so he can get both the girl and the car back ^^
If I owned a car, I would occasionally go out for a drive with a dakimakura strapped into the passenger seat. Having some take pictures of the two of us from outside would be a plus ^^
Bad girl. XD
Some of those carpools dont even work here un the U.S. its like being stuck for life!!!
geez... it's snowing in Japan already? Hmm... wonder who her boyfriend is. Watch out Danny... when you come home, you might find her completely taking over your house with your reign of figures xD.
there aren't any carpool lanes in my neck of the woods.
we call them T2 lanes around here i HATE when some granny decides to pull in the lane by herself -no passengers- and do 70kph when the motorway is supposed to be 90kph GAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH~~~~~
then she's too afraid to overtake the 18 wheeler doing 60kph and backs up the entire freaking lane and everyone's stuck at 50kph - in a 90 zone CANT PPL JUST DRIVE NEAR OR ON THE LIMIT WHILE ON A HIGHWAY/MOTORWAY??!?!?! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK? PEOPLE HAVE TO GET TO PLACES! THATS WHY THEY USE THE HIGHWAY IN THE FIRST PLACE! COMON!!!! yes, i am a very rageworthy driver
I feel your pain...I feel you pain...
oh jeez, it happens to everyone. it isn't just the granny. tons of people think that because they own a car, they own a piece of the road. it's simply bad driving manners to ignore the traffic behind you and continue to road-hog.
well, you have to think... like, my grandma kinda drives slow. When I come home from school, she holds up traffic, so it sucks for me and her. BTW, that's my GF there
The only problem with carpool lanes are that if there's a driver in front of you that's not moving fast enough, you're stuck behind him/her. Since you can't leave carpool lanes until you reach certain points, you also run the risk of overshooting your exit. 65 miles per hour is supposed to be California's speed limit, but in certain places if you drive below 70-75 your car better not be in the carpool lane or there will be a lot of annoyed drivers behind you.
New boyfriend is Tenrou? He said he'd taken over Danny's company, perhaps even his house too?
Everything... >^.^<
still waiting on that reprisal ^.^
Danny already responded in the previous post... ^^
she went out with her bf but why she still looks sad? o.O I guess she actually miss Danny-san more than her bf.
Coming right up Sasara-chan. Wha?
True, I constantly use the carpool lanes when driving with my friends. What makes me even more happy is that they recently made a lot more of the highways in and around San Francisco have carpool lanes, and extended the times when it's available to accommodate rush hours. But I hate the people who are driving by themselves on the carpool lane, and are hogging the lanes when we're trying to pass traffic.
The number of "available" manpower (and the low cost for manpower) made it possible to assign traffic cops in the end of such lanes to make sure people obey the rule (or bribe past them) in Indonesia... for most, if not every day
lol wonder what a cop would do if he found a guy driving with a dakimakura on the carpool lane. ^^;
In Jakarta there is no special lane, but for the main roads in the heart of the city, there's a "3 in 1" rule... Any car using those road with passenger (including driver) less than 3 people, will be stopped by police and given ticket. So during those "3-in-1" hours, we got to find alternate road if we're only alone in the car. The sick part is, even with that rule enforced, those main road will still be clogged, the alternative road?? do you even need to ask??
but we can get some jockeys to fill in the car to meet 3 person requirement! (and pay them 5k each (around 50 yen, u can get a proper at the shopping center for Rp. 20k (around 200yen) here) and yes it's still clogged, like there are days when the road here does not clog?
They let hybrids in the carpool lane in California too, even with one person... and they tend to slow down the whole lane :(
I am jealous of The Invisible Man.
She's taking a joy ride in Danny's car...what will she think of next...
I'll take her for a spin ^_^
Bet you wish you had bought seat covers, huh?
She really is...living to the fullest extend...
I forget what city but a woman driving in the carpool lane was ticketed for being alone her defense was that she was pregnant so there were in fact two people in the car I believe her case was dismissed and the rules were supposed to be revised
Haha I wonder what cops might be thinking if they drive to the side of you and notice that. Oh and there are certain places at certain times that carpool lane requires at least 3 people. So an extra dakimakura in the back seat. XP
Lolols, she's getting rather comfortable now >.<
Is she even old enough to drive?
Drive safely now!
*Imagines self in driver's seat*
*doing the same*
That's an interesting law...the whole carpool. Indonesia has something like that though and it seems to cause more traffic since there's no such thing as color-coding (Simply put depending on the last number on your license plate will show when you can bring out that car) Haha what fun she seems to have
actually danny in the US you can get caught for that... i read a news article once where a guy put a blow up doll in the passenger seat to cheat the carpool system.. and then the cop ended up making stand at the side of the high and wave the blow up doll at people driving on the highway for an hour...
I only get to play in the carpool lane twice a year when I go to Atlanta, GA for the anime convention there. I feel like I'm going to get run over considering that Atlanta drivers are freaking scary. Also doesn't help that I also have to dive across 3 lanes of dense insane traffic just to get to the next from that lane since its on the inside.
She decided to find her own happiness. You shouldn't have left her alone, Danny. She became lonely and sad and now it turned out like that. Carpool lane? Sounds cool. We don't have it here in Czech Republic, and probably never will.
Oh my goodness! 0_0
We dont have a carpool lane, but we have a bus lane! for buses carrying alot of people... sooo efficient...
Ya, we only have bus lane here. Didn't know about carpool lane. Maybe they get the idea of bus lane from this carpool lane.
Mmm... The seat belt is wrapped around her... Yea...
introducing anime PSAs, complete with body pillow!!!!
By all means, the carpool lane. the police will see through the ruse, but will be too embarrassed to stop the otaku behind the wheel.. or maybe it is fear of infection? Or just simple jealousy....? (^ω^)
Where can I get one of these?
Good idea for getting where you need to go fast on the freeway. -Need to get one!- Hope the cops don't take it way when they stop you.
