How many of you surf for 2D or 3D ladies/men at school or work? I got a mail from a reader the other day who said that their college blocks all sorts of ports including FTP, HTTP, Torrent, IRC etc. Via Neta.

just at my home i suppose. A similar instance was when my friend tried to surf Touhou Seimoe at the library, the owner of the site put something that made it pop out a picture of a nearly naked Aya Shamaemaru and telling him to stop looking at naked tengu girls at school.
Wow... what don't they block? And what is the internet good for when you have all those blocked? Mail only? I didn't browse at school and I probably won't at my job... unless I get my dream job. XD
this stuff is not suitable for work and will earn you weird glances from your female coworkers. so i tend to browse only when i'm at home. i remember that my rez blocked torrents, mirc, and battlenet (booo!). well, i got around that problem, but most people without the computer no-how wouldn't be able to. btw, thats a pretty nice setup he has there. now if he had a cintiq, i think i would explode with jealousy.
Want to hear a funny story? IM TELLING IT ANYWAY!! So, now no one at work except the office girls can go online, because one of my amazing co-workers was looking up so much porn it was flooding the mailboxes at our work. Great right? I cant go ONLINE at work. Im thinking someone needs to explain parental controls to the boss.. (or fire the guy since everyone knows who it is). All you internets are belong to us (grammatically correct version).
No can do. Access to the internet is not the problem, but every visited site is logged under your username where I work. So unless you wanna find yourself in waist deep shite you better behave like a respectable citizen at work.

Yeah I agree if they're blocking HTTP then there's no internet. Unless they're blocking some HTTP websites. Danny tell your reader to use Proxycap, in my college they block a lot too but with proxycap installed on my laptop hello everything on the internet ^^
And there's another nice trick - it is possible to use google page-translator as http-proxy! Just translate page you want from english to english. jejeje ^^
my schools internet is pretty slow wouldnt want to do it there.. its like watching porn on dial up and the picture is loading up... and you get to half an eye... and it stops

There's a simple solution - make friends with your system administrator, present him with some figures, new DVDs and he (or she) will definitely open all nsfw resources, including dannychoo.com ^^

Same here, my college internet has a bad speed and connectivity ~_~ I think it's just useless to have 75 hours of free internet in my campus. The worst is on my High School. Break time, you surf the net, and just open 1 site, when it finished the loading time, the break's over. Great.
I would look up pron at school/work too if I had a screen setup like that! I'm glad my residence doesn't block anything.
How ironic.; my previous school blocks almost everything (even Google at one point in time because of an incident) but not dannychoo.com... and no, i didn't go to sites like xoops.frontwing.jp... though you can't say i didn't try for the sake of mischief (:D

I love what he's doing there. lol. WIsh I had that kind of setup at home. XD Surfing the net really isn't a problem at work as long as your admins know how to control the usage. Which is why I always tell network admins to opt for whitelisting sites instead of blacklisting them since it's less of a headache and you get them all at once. Just have the users/employees to mail you a request if they want a certain site to be whitelisted.

lol, I don't think I'm brave enough to search for things like that at school, but I commend those who are.
An older post about Internet filtering http://www.dannychoo.com/adp/eng/1471/Internet+Filtering.html talks about how to overcome that.. it did work for my school for awhile.. I was pretty happy, surfing, lurking in forums(Yes, they block out forums as well -.-) until 1 fine day the hidemyass didn't work anymore.. guess they found out? oh man.. all related sites blocked as well.. anyone got more ideas? :(
