Young Haruhi

Young Haruhi
I think shes the youngest cosplayer I've seen so far. Is cosplaying a thing that you wouldn't mind your kid starting out at an early age?
Thanks to member Windbell for sending this in via hihi123.

i'm considered young at my age (classified, of course). i cosplayed as Box Gundam during the previous cosplay festival in M'sia....yes, i was wearing a cardboard box...i've seen younger people though. Chibi Chobits' Chii >__>

This is a great cosplay!
I still can't believe how some can royally mess up at otaku conventions in terms of costume.
But again, maybe the Haruhi costume set this young girl wears has simply been bought in a store (but it fits her well at least).

I wouldn't mind. I've seen an entire family doing cosplay, but mostly of western stuff like Star War and Star Trek. Long as what they dress up as is appropriate for their age, then it should be ok.

You mean in Japan?

Young cosplayers... well, i've met many in my country, especially my province ^^

Most of them are boys though, following their big brother cosplaying as a Kamen Rider.

i'm not talking about what she (the kid) is doing or is about to do. I'm worried about what the weirdos and pervs out there masquerading around as otaku MIGHT do to her. honestly I would never bring a child less than 12 years of age to an Anime convention.

I see. You're somehow right, but if you prove to be a "super protective guardian hellhound", there should be no trouble (by not let her wander and watch her very closely -which seems logical and basic for children that age-).

I don't mind at all. In fact, I'd ENCOURAGE and help my kids to cosplay! And if they catch on to it, I'd be so happy :B Does this make me a freak?
BTW, young Haruhi=win.

oh, lol.. she's from comiket 73 during day3.. and i was around the cosplay area at around 1 pm japan time, when i saw her being carried around by a man, which i supposed it's her father or something and was walking around to let the photographers have a photo of her..

she looks really cute, but of course, it's quite hard for her to have her smile all the time.. it's tiring...
