Planned to go to the Ita G Festa today but had so much stuff going on that I couldn't make it ToT. Otasuke went along to take a load of photos (more at their site). Some gorgeous Itasha on display and yummy looking dakimakura too. Looking at these photos has made me decide to add "Itasha car stickers" to the list of merchandise for the Suenaga sisters in 2009. Next up will be the T-shirts though.
Nah....i will not =_= I like car and anime but not Itasha. To me, it doesn't each other.
I mean it doesn't suit each other.
Second that.
Agreed, I too like anime, but my interest in anime generally ends after the episode is over, I'm not fond of seeing random anime girls around or over objects I guess^^.
For the most part, I agree. The colors just don't match well. And most of the ones that aren't colored just look kind of lame. There are some that do look nice though, like the one the one with nekomimi girl and says "sprodesign."
ahh!! i love them so much !! ^^ yes i would stick stickers on my car ^^ very nice danny ^^
Too bad danny you couldnt make it, it looked like one hell of an even!
I've wanted to do this to my future car for years, even before I knew there was a fad and a name for it. They just look so cute.
I so want to have anime stickers in my car XD
I would love to have almost any one of those cars. They're all so cool looking. A few of those wouldn't go over well in this country I'd think though.
Also wouldn't mind that life size Saber ^^ oh and what exactly is the picture with the price tags in the small packages?
Not too sure if I would, if I had a white car and could get a nice customized look by adding them, perhaps,... still, seem sa bit embarassing. Then again I drove around for years in an old timer VW beetle that was pink/purple. ^^;; As it is, we're not allowed to put any decals or other on our company car, not even the company name. Tons of "Lucky Star" themed cars though, very striking. I suppose the characters and series lend themselves well to such itasha themes. An "Aria" one could be nice, can use red, yellow or blue color theme too depending on which company you choose.
The odd thing about Lucky Star themed cars though, if the photos here are any indication, is that most of them are the Hiiragi sisters as well. Thought we'd see more of Konata.
Itasha ROCK! Hiiragi sister FTW!!!!! Not anyone can take Saber for a spin ^_^
By the way, WHERE IS Strike Witches?!
maybe strike witches need applied to real fighter plane gua lol.
Have you see the Luchinni Itasha before? http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2008/08/27/pantsu-mobile/
if you drove itasha cars in america i wouldnt be surprised if a cop pulled you over. especially some of the more riskE pictures
omigosh the cars look great! i doubt i can do the same in SG tho XD
I would love to have some on my car ^^ But not to many ^^' Not so normal where i live...Stuff like this is mostly seen as crazy, "pervert" Stuff here.....Anime aren't to "Accepted" here...
What i would have is my Avatar maybe ;) Would look great on a Car i think.... That or the Future avatar for my Page....
Those look amazing, but would probably do something like what the white car has. I think it would take me a while to decide, what to put on a car. Thank you Otasuke for taking the photos and Danny for posting them.
Wow! Me wants a car now! xD -How could one of them spell Tsukasa as Tukasa... That totally made the car epic phail. On the other hand, I love the Shana, Lucky Star, Kagamine Rin and most of all, Reimu ^^ Where is Touhou anime? ><
Also, I don't see any Strike Witches goodness... What happened?!
Tukasa is actually the proper spelling using the Kunrei-romanization taught in schools ^^
Omg, Hiiragi sisters ~~~ And yuu-chan with cherry, so cute ^__^
*sigh* if only cars like that would last more than 5 minutes in my area...
Same here.....Would go 2 min before the Cops, and every one wanted you to remove you, and mothers would tell there Kids to look away for years when they saw you...
I think he means the car would get vandalised to hell >.>
I would've loved to go to that event. There are so many cars with the Hiiragi twins. If I lived in Japan, I would so do that for fun. Police here would probably pull you over for having something like that on your car. Just goes to show how strong anime influences Japan.
A Whole New Meaning To Pedo Van !!! @ @ v
Now that I've seen this I suddenly want to see Itasha stickers/paintjobs of Strike Witches on some fighter jets...
I am planning on purchasing a Smart Fortwo with removable panels - That way i can still drive around without looking like a lolicon. Will definitely purchase Suenaga decals when they become avaliable. and IS THAT A ZETTAI SHOGEKI DAIKIMAKURA COVER?!?!?!?
Dang! Wouldn't you know that we would get recalled and underway one day early just so I could make it to this. ToT Welcome to 7th Fleet. Personally, I would love to put an anime sticker on my car. Just not a huge one, like a bumper sticker or something.
So many lucky star themed itasha cars but the Macross F still stood out as well as Touhou's Reimu. Hope i could get my hands on one of these and stick it to my car XD
Nice. They even put a Paper doll Saber in there ^^ Dakimakuras for car seats?
I would stick a Celestial Being emblem sticker on the front, but that's about it... When I first saw the Ranka sticker, I felt awed... followed by a feeling to fly a VF-25 into it. :/
Would totally put big stickers on my car and drive around with pride. As long as I find out that I can't get ticketed for it ^^
I love itasha. I think those wrapped up things with Fate, Nanoha and others are "regular" seat covers, aren't they?
I'd like to put stickers on my car, if I had one... But the stickers would be less ero... The car with the Ranka sticker would probably lend you in jail...
I am curious Danny. The Otaku were discriminated in the past right. So if you drove one of these cars around town now, would your car get scratched or anything? I'm quite sure you would attract weird stares? Or is it mainly for display purposes only.
After all they are only car stickers... Their car will obviously be scratched if it is permanent...I believed that the stickers are easy-removable types..
So they paste them on for the show and take them off after?
Wow, some of those look really cool...although the Saber doll is kinda creepy. If I had a car, I'd put stickers on it definately (although I'd be too scared to do really 'lewd' ones ^^)
If ever I'll have a car, I'll stick anime decals to it =3 1st would be some Miku Hatsune goodness ^_____^
Is that a Saber Candy Girl?!
Define "Stickers". I don't reckon I would put big character decals on the car, but I already carry little eX-D (from eX-Driver, for those who know it) decals just ahead rear wheel arches. So... stealth Itasha? I've yet to meet anyone on the street or at an event (aside from those I already know) that got the reference.
Man, just saw the Westfield Clubman over at Otasuke's joint... that's sweet, looks like it's the kit to be built on MX-5/Miata mechanicals
Yes I would stick stickers on my car. Thanks for the eye candy once again.
I have a Kenshin siloette sticker on my truck. I fear any more than that and I'll get my ass kicked, or vehicle keyed.
oh my!!!! DO WANT!!!
zomg YES! NEKKID ONES! i wonder... if you have such a decal made out of, for example, an image from an artbook you own, then stuck onto your car. would that be copyright infringement? it's your car and your sticker, so it ought to be personal use? that's what you licensed when you bought the book, right? does an "all rights reserved" cover such use?
if i had a car i would stick a saber on it! yup. saber ftw!!
the cars are....umm...nice IMO but i would never put bishoujo related stickers onto my car , but putting a Zaft logo on my car would be cool ^.^
so are you going to put the sisters on your car?
I might stick some on for a bit if they're temporary. They do look nice though.
Could never put one of these on my car. If its on too long you have two toned paint which just hurts resale.
the essence of being an otaku
just wanna know, how expensive is it to own a car in japan, cause it ain't cheap here!
I <3 the one of Sheryl. I would so put that on my car. The Ranka one is kinda pedo-y though ^^I
I don't have a car, nor know how to drive, but I'd buy one and learn to if I could have a car with Tsukasa on it.
Yay Tukasa! I would totally get one if i wasn't selling my car this summer ^^
I wanna do this to my car so bad! ;_;
All of them is so cool looking. I want one for my car XD.
Ah, what a shame to not be there, the itasha looked beautiful and a lot of high qualit work seemed to be on display. The Macross F official itasha looked great as always, and all the Lucky Star ones seem cute.Liked the pantsu displaying ones too ^^
I wouldn't put stickers on my car; I'd paint it myself! I think my fave is the Shana one--usually when the legs get cut off it annoys me, but something about her pose makes that one work. And the hard-on one literally made me LOL. Totally not subtle!
Nice stickers. But probably wouldn't stick any on my car, I would be too embarrassed to drive it :P
That doll in the passenger seat is pretty creepy...I doubt anyone would steal it.
If this doesn't announce to the world that you're an Otaku then I don't know what does.
I love the Touhou car, it is just the right amount. Some of the cars are a little overkill in my opinion, but I admire their devotion. The sheet amount of Lucky Star is astounding as well.
LUCKY STAR CAR!!!!!!! If I'm allowed to do that to my car I will...but sadly I can't... I love the Lucky Star cars!!!!! I see a Vocaloid one too... I didn't know they sold stuff at this event...I want those dakimakura!!!
I answered no. It would be cool but I think I would get many strange looks.
I'm going to say no, but I'm sure there are exceptions. I wouldn't mind having one of those mini-heads off the "tukasa hazard" car (ninth picture down), they are very cute!
Why the QR code?
I would definaly put anime stickers on my car, espicially Macross Frontier. ^_^heh
Omg, Im totally doing that to my new car. =D
if I ever own a car I probably won't stick too big a sticker on it ^^; in Canada I can only imagine my car possibly getting vandalized ;_;
oh god your right 0_o which part are you from maybe we are the same province u_u
I'd never stick a sticker that large on my car, especially if it ends up covering windows, that's just a hazard. If it's something like a little bumper sticker, I'd totally have no problem with it, but something as large as that, I'll just pass. Also, it'd be way to embarrassing to put an anime sticker that large on my car in America. My car would get vandalized and broken into if I did that.
I don't think I'll be able to put a sticker on my car. Unless it somehow blends with the car...those stickers really just stand out too much for me. What's with the Saber doll? haha
Wow, cute cute cute i saw the price of 1300 for an itasha. does the stickers cover the whole vehicle or 1300 is just 1 sticker inside the package?
I wouldn't mind putting some stickers on my car but probably i'll keep it discreet
HARD-ON WHUT RANKAAAAAAAA I like the idea of itasha but some of these cars have no cohesion whatsover . . . the stickers just look slapped on and crowd each other. They should stick with a theme and not clutter so much. And definitely not cover the windows because how can you see outside?
Haha, I almost feel guilty for liking that as much as I do! Are the graphics they apply something that is available state side, or is this something the dedicated few make entirely themselves?
They are made by hardcore fans but since they are getting incredibly popular it's only a matter of time until they are commercially available. After the cars came the trucks and the motorbikes, now we have the bicycles and laptops ^^
Woh, when I move to Japan I am definitely getting that Shana one. Where do you get those anyway, are they painted or are they stickers.
I'm gonna have to assume they're vinyl or something else easily removed.
I like the 1st one the most, but i dont think I would ever apply one to my car. Anime is popular in the U.S but not exactly mainstream and I think I'd become a lil self conscious over time about it. maybe a small one in the corner of a window though.....HMMMMM......
Racey...
How do they make those car stickers? I know there's a YouTube video but it's only in Japanese. I'd like to make my own and stick one on my car. I remember they were selling Little Busters itasha stickers at Gamers. Too bad they didn't have any other stickers for other series.
It's like anything other type of customizing in the respect that if it's done well, it's pretty cool, but if it's over done or the images are poor choices it looks absolutely stupid. Some of those cars are terrific, but too many of them are just tacky.
I'm putting the hiiragi twins when I have a car! How do you put those anyway? Are they stickers that you just put on yourself? Or do you have to pay someone to do it?
I would like to put anime stickers on my car, but I don't think it would be wise to put the pantsu shot stickers on. I wonder if they have any mecha stickers?
Moemobiles!
Moe-mobiles indeed... but i really doubt the poll... WOULD YOU REALLY stick anime stuff on your car? a) You will be criticized by your friends and strangers b) You will be praised by your friends and strangers c) Nothing will happen. Hmmm... i say A
Not if you live where I live. Besides, if you have a Ferrari and turn it into an Itasha (like one could see at Ita G Festa) I think you should not care about those whining who probably drive rather crappy cars in comparison.
I saw them! Ferrari and Lambi with awesome designs. shock and awe!
I don't think I'd wrap my car but it would be nice to have some. Then again, I work in a small business park so it'd be 'interesting' explaining it to the other people there. ^_^;;
Not that I wouldn't put it on my car, but I'd be afraid my car be vandalized...
I'm still dreaming of putting them on a plane's tailfin instead~ but i'd put it on my char too~ those moe stickers :)
Those itasha look nice and all but I wouldn't be caught dead driving one! x_x
Wow just Wow!
lol! i like to put in my car, if i get one... its time to take a driver license i think...(;^_^
<3 the Yutaka one. Yep, I'd post animu stickers on my car... but I left my car back at home, and I think I'll end up selling it. Don't need car here where I'm living now, though my current situation isn't exactly stable.
If there were Gundam stickers, I'd totally put them on my car.
If i did, my car would get keyed. A lot.
an emphatic yes!
I WAS THERE! Shame about the weather... but it was fantastic. I will probably post my photos somewhere but obviously I have been beaten to it!
Lucky bastard ;D
Gold car which I own = anime stickers! Now if only there were hentai stickers then lets talk business. Also I'm curious if these large stickers can be bought outside of Japan?
Can we buy those stickers somewhere ?
I want a "HARD-ON". ;_; But not as an itasha; I wouldn't dare. I'd stick with Kagami and Tsukasa in gothloli attire or whoever's in the picture beneath them...cute. :)
LOL hard on. The Saber scared me. <3 More photos here: http://www.asahi.com/photonews/gallery/entertainment/081111_itasha/index.html
The stickers are cool but you would need to live in a community willing to accept it.
Eh, I'd prefer my cars to keep the simple look, and if I'm going to add anime stickers, I'd make them the average small sticker size
What happens when it rains? I mean does the sticker falls off easily?
While they look nice I don't think I'd do it.. or at least not on that scale ^^
cool saber doll and the car is cute i wish i have the paper moon doll
those cars all look nice but i drive an old, dented up cavalier, i wouldn't do anything detail wise to it :p (no dents on the car are from me)
Where they sell those? How do I apply? Hot iron?
I should introduce this to Bruneian otakus XD
Some nice stickers on those cars, now if I only had a car to begin with. lol
COOL!!!!!! But if I was to do this in my area....................... I dont know what will happen to me haha! I think it will end up in instant robbery haha
