You're quickly becoming famous in Japan Danny! I got into Gundam years ago...I think about 6 or 7 years ago. When a TV station started playing Gundam Wing. From then on its just a blur! ^_^

Yeah, I agree with Dave. I also got into Gundam 5-6 years ago with Gundam Wing on TV aswell, funnily enough. Sadly due to where I live and how much money I have; I've yet to get myself a Gundam model :(

That actually gave me a good spur to continue studying Japanese. Hey, any more good tips for switching to Macs?

Yea, Wing brought me into the series as well. As for switching to Macs, the new Boot Camp will make that transition a piece of cake. While its not an "out of box" software, its only an hour or two of setup outside of watching the little line move while windows installs on the extra partition. MacWorld ran some benchmarks using the new Intel macs against some similiar PCs, and the Intel Macs did as well, if not better than the PCs in their benchmark tests. I am still in the G4 era myself, so installing XP is a no no, however when the time comes to upgrade its good to know I won't have to replace my PC as well just to be able to buy the latest PC games and still enjoy the Apple Design. Check out the Benchmarks from MacWorld - http://www.macworld.com/2006/04/firstlooks/xpbenchmarks/index.php

i got into gundam cos i got into dannychoo.com

Wow~ Getting your name published in a Magazine is a great feat. Congratulations Danny for giving many of your readers (myself included) insights within the fast paced world in Japan when it comes to Gunpla, Figures, games or when you (will) take over the Tokyo tower. Cheers!

congrats... congrats... but on the sidenote, amuro is cool but i rather be char :)

lol this is so kool~~ as soon as i saw that stormtrooper in the picture, i quickly knew who it was ;) Great interview by the way (did they really ask 100 questions?), and it's incredible that you get over 10000 visitors per day. what an accomplishment! Congratulations. :D

Hahahahaha... now every Otaku in Akiba will recognise you...

Wow Danny! 10k visits per day! Well, I have to admit it...I'm one of them.Your site really ROCKS!!!

wow, you are so cool. lol :-) i might start learning some Japanese as well :-) thought English was enough of a challenge for me lol

Hey Danny, you are becoming famous. Just like a star in modeling, gundam, anime fans. We all admire you and your work. So keep working well then you works may be post on some American and European megazine!!! And how about Chinese magazines? You may want to try to visit hong Kong or Taiwan, there have a lot of modeling and GUndam fans. Cheer!!1111111

Boy that person they were interviewing sounded like a total loser. Jeez, he should lock himself up in his room and just watch all his anime twice! Lol j/k with ya Danny. That's awesome that you're becoming famous in the Otaku realm. And if people kept asking me 100 questions I'd start making false answers just so it can go by faster. Maybe some day I'll visit Japan and maybe if I see you walking around in your stormtrooper suit I'll run up to you and go mental cause I met my hero.

Yeah, I wonder who that wacko is? Roaming around in Stormtrooper armor... Anime... and GUNDAM, for crying out loud. GUNDAM. Sheesh. =P But anyways, amazing determination, Danny. ^^ That 50 Kanji a day thing blew me away. Congratulations for getting yourself on a mag. At least now you can put 'was featured on WIndows 100%' on your tombstone.

Congratz Danny ! One step closer to your dream huh ;)

congrats, man! i wish i had that kind of motivation to self-teach japanese like you so that i can read those japanese hobby magazines and watch anime without the subtitles!

Sorry for a double post but I just noticed that now all the people with hate mail can't really say to stop what you're doin. If it gets ya in a magazine to the oh so popular Otaku's then keep on doin it! Shoot straight for your dreams!

congratz on being listed in a magazine. may ur visitor ratings shoot through the roof :D

Great stuff mate! I especially like the reason for your accelerated learning of Japanese ;-)

GO DANNY GO!!!! The only reason u get sooo many hits on ur site....is cause of all of us :) Ur Blogg is intresting, funny, cool...(and all of the above, would rip out dictionary but wont be able to fit it all an) Good on you with learning the Japanese language... now, if only I had ur patience and diligence! I come here as often as I can...just dont always post anything. KEEP IT UP, DONT STOP!!! WELL DONE DANNY, WELL DONE!

COngrats Danny! Hope to see you in your stormtrooper suit someday when i'm able to travel to japan. Keep it up Danny! We're with you!

i remember there used to be a japanese restaurant at the basement of the Japan Centre, while it was still in SOHO, which served some really delicious tonkatsu. it says "overseas otaku" in the interview, ok...quite certain that u don't have a japaneses passport, but i find it Japan is so insistent on differentiating "gaijin" or "overseas so and so" from locals, which troubles me at times...

Just wanted to say the "Wobby boob scene" comment definitely got me to LOL. Heck, a few days ago my g/f's mouth was agape at the same sort of scene in the first SEED intro, LOL.

Rock! Danny, you're a master of your own domain. Kudos to you brutha

It's great that you being featured locally in Japan! Keep up the good work! I usually get my Japanese magazines from Kinokuniya bookstore in San Jose, Cali(USA). They offer cheap subscriptions for dengeki hobby and hobby japan or any other japanese magazine so I save a lot rather than buying from a import store

Is that the same Windows 100% with the pr0n at the back of the issue? :p

I really hope they'll announce a new PG gundam there or something because if that PG extra finish EVA 01 is this year's only PG... I'll be quite upset. If it is this year's PG, then next year's PG better be something HUGE! cuz skipping 2 years with just a color variation PG's is not excusable.

as always, your my hero and how the hell did you get on a mag?

That is SO funny. did you actually keep your helmet on the entire time during the interview?

hehehehe......thats wicked man.....I wish I could go for JOB INTERVIEWS like that.....maybe even use the "FORCE" to guarantee me the job.....hehehe
