Eeeek! That service sounds creepy! Its amazing how much they can push the whole maid service thing. Strange thing is, that its not really a service, just a fetish fulfilling wierd thing! Dont think i would be up for it anyhow. I dont think she would be able to tolerate my snoring!
For 40,000 yen, I think they could afford a hooker.
I wouldn't pay 40,000 yen for a one night stand where I wouldn't get something lol.

Chastity belts provided? Just kidding. Maid Cafés, Maid Massage establishments are still fine to my sense but this... goes a bit too far. Only those with an incurable maid fetish and a big wallet would be interested in it... And even at this price, better buy a maid costume to your wife/girlfriend and fulfill your dreams. Too much imagination from the Maid Committee :p
a person like me doesn't appreciate such services. I sleep like a log. When I lay down on the bed, i will just snooze away. therefore this type of services aren't meant for me. Chances of causing accidents/problems are quite high. People may get too involved and think that maid is his and his only causing havoc if you know what i mean (-_-;)
interesting, i rather sleep in my own bed for free. LOL
Though I find myself slowly becoming more interested in maids (WHY?!?!), I find this almost demoralizing. I'd rather date than sleep next to one, you get to know her better to the point where you might sleep next to her and actually touch her. :P
Things like this make me thankful to be living the Otaku dream. Married to a beautiful Japanese lady. Yes, I batted her over the head and dragged her back to Texas. Do you really think she'd come willingly ;)

Maids are absolutley great, I think this new service is crazy enough to succeed. I am rather interested in it. I'll definetley would try it at least once. 40.000 yen for a whole new experience.

Humm, sleeping beside a pretty maid without touching, must be very hard :) And Mirai-chan in her maid gear looks very nice ! When will we be able to buy a Mirai-Chan figure ?? ^_^
While I'm not one to condemn things like this I would find it odd "dating" a maid knowing she is basically being paid to be my "friend". Of course it's hard to imagine what it would be like, so I would give it a go if some cereal packet happened to have the right token... Have to tip my hat to the brave ladies who don't mind going to a strange otaku's house to sleep next to them, I would probably be constantly awake with some heavy, club like object hidden behind my back, just incase.
To each their own. I don't know about the maid sleeping next to me while I watch tv thing, but I have gone to "gentlemen's clubs" out of sheer boredom. So, I get it. Also, as an observer of people, never underestimate the power of loneliness. There's a lot of opportunity there to fulfill many wants.
It's strange, but I might be able to understand it. Although there's bound to be 'accidents'. To have them around your house and watch tv, ok. But sleeping next to them in bed? Isn't that asking for it? But I can imagine. "Master, shall I put on your pajamas?" "Master, shall I read you a bedtime story?" "Master, shall I wash your back?" I think some would like it just like that (and nothing more). Although it would probably be true to get another service for the same price from another ad, but with the same attire... :) But still, this is why I love Japan too :p (But I can imagine some would be horrified about some things)
P.S.: Love the mirai-maid drawing, would love to see it finished. And it would make a lovely figure as well ;p I bet it would be a dream for you, Danny, to have a figure made of Mirai-san :). (sorry for double-posting)

Lot of weirdness to this I feel sorry for the girls. What if we have one loose nut other cant keep his hands to himself. Only in Japan.
How are they actually going to ensure that the customer doesn't force himself onto the poor maid?!?!?!? Maybe all maids are equipped with a can of mace and a tazer.
an interesting new maid concept and i'm surprised and impressed that they've found very small niche in the maid-related industry ^^ this would be very profitable venture and i wouldn't mind trying this new service out ^^
BTW, as the sketch for this maid Mirai version is complete, we are going to color this in next and then do the daki makura pose after.
