MGS4のいろいろだ。いろんなMGS関連の映像を見て来たので、正直、流した映像は新しいものなのかは分からなかった。
MGSはPS1のときから好きだった。
いろんなフィギュアも展示された。
Metal Gear Onlineも。
これは関係ないね^^;
配られたイラスト集。
Seriously, They promote it again and again but no Release Date. Well, atleast you get to see some stuff, right?

I am heavily poison by MGS series play most of them (except the Metal Gear fro m Snes) I heard from somewhere that they change the release date from next year Spring to the coming Winter! This gonna the game that give PS3 a boost!

Don't fret Danny... Konami has gone on record that the game's set to ship in early 2008. If you had kept snapping for a few more secs after the first pic you posted, a title screen pops and saying just that. :)

I have to say the TGS trailer was kind of disappointing. The Devil May Cry 4 long trailer is the best trailer i have seen from TGS so far. It has me super hyped for it now :O~

MGS is the biggest game coming on the PS3. Even if it's not ready sony try to keep the hype as mmuch as they can. I think they are tryin to not let the people get to upset for the long waitin; figure, booklet, new promotional video...all to feed the players. MGS got to be awesome or...could be a disaster

Sigh.... Just hope they make it as interesting as possible. The Beauty and the Beast unit is really creepy, a lot more than the previous boss from the previous MGS games.

I love the MGS series, but, like the Silent hill games, i enjoy EXPERIENCING them more than actually playing them. The cutscenes are stunning, and the plots are good. Gameplay though? I think its a bit trial and error, the controls are fiddly and there isnt enough flexibility to experiment without getting your arse kicked. You get too many gadgets to carry too - a more 'realistic', carryable inventory would force you to consider each items strengths. After MGS 1, the series went downhill gameplay-wise for me. I brought portable ops and was pretty dissapointed, so im not really that psyched about this because, judging from the gameplay vid they released a while back, the fundamental gameplay looks the same. A total re-invention of the franchise (like in resident evil 4) is overdue methinks. Saying that though, i DO want to see what happens in the games numerous superb cut scenes, and find out how the MGS saga ends. Not enough to buy a PS3 though :-D

@soonkiang: MGS4 is a PS3 exclusive, meaning other consoles, including the PC, won't have it. Its similar to what Kojima did for MGS3 actually. Anyway, MGS4 has been in development for like 2 years now? If it's gonna still show nothing but videos at TGS next year I'm sure most of the fans will be rather disappointed.

Dammit, I hope that MGS4 will be worht the asking price of a PS3. Even though I'm also a fan of the X360's Halo 3, It's a toss-up between in and MGS4 for my choice of consoles, and I'm a better sneak than a shoot. Also note, people who criticize MGS for being unrealistic can play Splinter Cell, which is just as good a stealth game if not better--the main reason I go for MGS is the interactive movie experience--The way the game story goes, plus the themes behind it, are what really appeal to me, so naturally I'd go for it. I am a bit dissapointed that Medicom's 12-inch MGS4 figures look to be just figurines and not posable figures, though.

Hey Danny did u get to play MGS? I think there is gameplay demos at this year TGS, I will post on my blog the video If I can find it. The figures look alright to me but I am still deciding whether to get them. I really liked this trailer MGS Rex and Ray appearing at the end. The animation and character models are superb and raises the benchmark in real-time animation. The Yoga thing looks fun. @wavehawk - Yup I played MGS for the experience not

Well i just saw the TGS official video. It's simply stunning! The expressions are awesome and still the movement seems really realistic...Hope the framerate will be fixed!

I'm probably in the minority but I really don't care about MGS4 I loved MGS1, Hated MGS2 and only got 3 because I got it signed by Hideo Kojima. Meh, I'll probably end up getting 4 anyway tho...

Hmm I think MGS4 is as overhyped as halo 3. First one was enjoyable because it was new. Have not liked one since. Maybe this one will be good but all I have seen is the usual well constructed hype generating footage hehe.

Omg I simply just cannot wait for this game!!!! It's one of the main reasons why I bought a PS3 lol. ^^;; you know... it would have been better if they made a figure of the younger Solid snake... cause the old one just looks sad. xD;;

Ah, now that's what I call a good part of TGS to go to. Metal Gear Solid is one of the best series ever, if not the best. Many companies released dozens of games for one series, with each entry being more and more stale with time (characters -including design, personality, alignment, motives-, plot, weapons, etc.). This would include series I love though: Megaman, Castlevania, Street Fighter, The King of Fighters, even the Legend of Zelda. MGS has avoided to fall in the same trap. Not many games to count, but so many good ideas each time. I do praise Hideo Kojima for his involvement in videogames in general. MGS 4, the dusk of Solid Snake? I guess I would have liked it more if there was a game with him in his early fifties... He is going to disappear too fast now. And... Don't tell me Raiden will then become the main lead (I know, it was planned so in MGS 2)

-Adding more lines- The series that disappointed me the most with time is probably Final Fantasy (FF VIII especially). And about those "Kubrick" toys (simple cheap copies of LEGO)... Will not there be a certain family of a certain Stanley going to sue them? ^-^;

Hey, I saw you yesterday during dinner. Was watching the Chinese news and they were talking about the TGS that was going on and you just happened to be on the screen, playing around with some new gadget. Your screen time was only around 2 to 3 secoonds though. The trailer for MGS4 is the newest one, for they were releasing one each during the previous 4 game shows this year.

i've loved the MGS games ever since I first played the first one that came out on the PS1. Since then I've played all the games of the series including the ones in the NES/SNES. XD lately though I'm getting tired of them showing all these vids. Too much promotion will eventually kill my anticipation for this game.

I can't wait for this game - Loved the series since the first game (Although MGS2 wasn't quite as good), and will be the reason for me buying a PS3! Asfor the kubricks, they are a bit of a Lego rip-off, but they're actually really detailed - the Olga gurlukovich figure from the kubrick MGS2 line had a tiny sheath that you could fit her scout knife into!

Same thing with me with the trailers and promos. It's the fact that seeing snake and the middle-east setting that gives the "repeat" feeling... Saw a bunch more on IGN~

those FMV that Konami is featuring is a new trailer of MGS4 and i'm really looking forward to it ^^ @MGS phone my brother is really looking forward on the release of this one ever since he saw it i think on famitsu not only it can play MGS 1 but it has some really cool MGS theme from the ringtones to the UI on the phone @MGS booklet the camera shots on the MGS booklet are intentional and they want to have some kind of cinematic on it

the mgs series is just so amazing. the games are always a joy to play and watch. i can't wait for mgs4 to come out. although. i don't think i'll play it for quite some time since i don't have a ps3. i'm getting a nintendo wii this christmas season instead.

I love Metal Gear, Metal Gear 3 Subsistance is the best game I've ever played. Playing MGS 4 would be a deram come true, but I don't think it would be easy for me to get a PS 3.

Dan, congrats on your successes as you are really famous now. You're most probably still with Microsoft. Metal Gear Solid, I really like this game... But I'm still anxiously waiting for my Raiden Medicom RAH from Play-Asia to arrive. What I like about the concept of the new Raiden is that Snake can also be upgraded to this immortal frame of technological advancement. So, if he dies in this part of the series...cyberization may be the answer... since death is like burning a whole library down, it's very tragic, isn't it? I can't wait for this game to come out. I preordered as soon as I could, then I upgraded to the Special Ed. When I went to the E for All event in L.A. I got to play this game I am hooked, hopefully they will continue making them even if it doesn't have Snake or Kojima it will be different but still a great experience. June 12th is close yet I wish I could bend time so I could have it today.
