Funnily, there's a song called "Yume no Kakera" from Eri Nobuchika (the girl from "Lights" in Lumines on PSP), and it's PV was an anime short animated by Nakayama Daisuke. Link: http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=FgPVMoZu77U.
Online Manga > Buying Manga ^_^;; Saves you alot of money ahah.
Of course! manga is what started the process of taking the story into japanese animation. I subscribed to Shonen Jump for a number of years (I no longer do, never bothered to resubscribe) and now as a college student I grab the volumes I need (tonka-ban? pardon my very harsh terminology) at my local bookstore. What's nice is places such as Waldenbooks and Borders Bookstores have the MOTHERLOAD of Manga in the USA. There is literally just a wall, perhaps 80 feet long and a story high full of manga. Sometimes they do buy 3 get 1 deals for the peeps like me who love to buy in bulk ^^. While it may be difficult to find anime DVDs in the USA (at least for me) there is manga like no friggin tomorrow. I actually have a membership card with the chain now because I buy so much friggin manga. My collection is worth around $399.50 USD, and compared to others out there, that is a relativly small collection. I have the entire Rurouni Kenshin series, all volumes 1-28 and I am currently working on an ultimate Bleach collection. I enjoy other titles to: a friend in another state/area got me interested in the Hellsing manga produced by *shock* darkhorse comics (american comic book company) and from time to time I enjoy Love Hina.
A direct link would have been appreciated. I clicked on the image, but it gave me a page with all the manga listed. I did read paper manga, first being Dragon Ball and Ranma 1/2. I own about 24 of the 35 volumes (?) of Fly (Dai's Revenge/Fly, Dragon Quest) and the 10 first volumes of Inuyasha, among others. I never was really interested in downloadable electronic manga pages, as they are usually have a bad format to deal with (usually too big to read properly, either in fullscreen or normal mode) and the packs themselves (either by chapters) is something very bothersome as you have to download, download and download each time you want to know the following events. I was tempted to do it for Bleach due to those (sorry in advance) "Fuzakeruna!!-inducing" fillers that kill the original ambiance, but gave up on that after some tries.
that saves a lot of money reading manga online. altough im still learning japanese and couldnt understand anything. poor me.
The site is somewhat in a shamble, I agree. Still, free manga.
Ah, you have to register. I'll pass then. Call me lazy if you want, no problem there.
Yes a fine example of -1.0 standards. ^^; I would really like to read Azamuiyuko-sensei's manga.
IMO manga in paper form is much nicer to read than online ones. It gives the sort of feeling of not knowing what you would get when you turn a page. very much like a novel which is really enjoyable. I currently own the whole set of Rurouni Kenshin and Love Hina. Currently collecting Hayate the combat butler, School Rumble, Mahou sensei Negima, and Tsubasa Chronicles.
www.manga-volume.com. all manga in english
For some reason I always like to read my manga from a proper book or Tankōbon . My most favorite currently is Yotsuba&! which is also easy to read.
I don't know if it just me but the few Japanese sites i visit seem to have a higher then average rate of poor design and interface. Wonder why that is???
I have a fair amount of translated manga, most of which are from Shonen Jump. (The prices are great slightly cheaper.) I do however want to learn Japanese through authentic manga, though I have no idea how I would be able to translate it as I read.. Does everyone just buy both english and japanese versions and read simultaneously? ^^;
i find english manga really weird to read. there are some things that get lost in translation so they have to make up phrases or figure of speeches that relate to the asian counterpart, and something gets lost in the translation. prefer them in korean or japanese :x another typo mister danny ^^; 'azamiyuko' instead of 'azamuyuko'?
lol web -1.0 XD i don't know but i prefer manga the traditional way but with online paperless manga, it'll save a lot of trees ^^
I dont read much manga these days. I dont get much time to read (save for when im on the loo) and whenever im reading, i try to read my language books. I find it harder to 'get into' a manga too. Anime is far more visually intresting for me - i can tell if its worth watching or not.

Yes, there's lots of "free" online Manga if you know where to look... In fact, anything you can reproduce electronically. Lucky you're mostly covering stuff that can't be copied, Danny ;) Anyway, hope Azamuyuko Sensei's work gains lots of popularity in Japan. アザミユウコ先生の作品がどんどんお人気になれるように~
here's some site if you want to read manga: downloadanime.com, animesource. i don't really care about language, so i just read it as long its english or indonesian
Well, the biggest problem I have with manga is that there's always an anime for some reason :P. I mainly read Marvel comics but recently started pickin up Yotsuba&! - it's great ^^
I only wish I had the time to learn Japanese to read the manga from sites like the one you suggested. They teach a class at the UW campus but it's a 6 credit course. I only wish I had that kind of time.
Thanks for the link, Hendrik - I'd like to read more manga, but aside from limited import titles available in bookshops here in London (ones that I fancy reading, anyway) I was on the lookout for another source of material! Thanks!

It's a good site having some sample images. a lot of fun!
as long it is free!!
Well, at least it is much better than those post 1996 geocities style with animated gif's and blinking text I used to see with my dail-up. ;)
yes i read manga. I have hundred of them at home. currently reading Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Detective Connan and Full Metal Alchemist. My all time favorites are Slam Dunk and Dragon Ballz.
I'm reading Claymore, Hellsing, and Evangelion right now. Waiting on new volumes of course; Sadamoto likes to take FOREVER to release a new chapter. Rebuild of Evangelion is around the corner!!!!!

always a oldies is goodies, so i view/read again slamdunk and akira.
read a few gundam astray's here and there.. not as much as i used to BEFORE i got married and school and work >_

Jason, Thanks ^^; Bit tired lately I guess ^^; The Geek, Thats why there is a lot of opportunity for web talent from outside of Japan. D_Blade, Cant do direct link as it requires a login...

You can find manga online at http://mangahut.com - all english translated.
Often read a lot of manga online...still prefer buying it though...especially if I really like the series [even if I've already read it...]
