Pushed out the code for Profile Page EX (EXtended). You can click through to your profile page by clicking on your nick name anywhere on the site (non members can have a look at
my profile page).
You will see that your Otaku Videos, Otaku Links, RDC Calendar and Puchi blurbs are now all aggregated on your profile page.
The content that you have been submitting means a lot to me and the community and I would like to express my gratitude by making the Google Adsense block on your profile page embedded with your Adsense Pub ID. This ID cannot be overridden by DC Rewards (Adsense) and will always display your ads as long as you have registered your details in the profile edit page.
Dont forget that you can also make money by recommending Amazon products which are also embedded with your Amazon associate tag.
More details after the jump...
Profile Page EX is for the following two types of person.
Some folks can find that updating a blog regularly can be difficult. A post can take longer than expected to complete. This is where Profile Page EX steps in. Videos, Links, Calendar items and Puchi Blurbs can be added to your profile page within 2 clicks (1 click in the case of Puchi Blurbs) and can be added whenever you are browsing other sites or YouTube using special bookmarklets that I have prepared for you.
If you are interested in making some pocket money at the same time, register some Amazon products and your Google Adsense details too - the more you contribute to the community, the more your profile page will be exposed and the likelihood of you making money goes up.
Below: The videos that you add are all aggregated in one place - the same goes for your links, calendar items and Puchi Blurbs.
Below: All items that you add are comment threadable.
Folks who already own a blog can use Profile Page EX as a means to drive traffic to their own existing blog. You can register your RSS feed and write up about what you do and what you are interested in within your profile. The more you contribute to the community, the more your profile page will be exposed and the more traffic you can expect being channeled to your blog.
Done a silent launch of Puchi Blurbs over a month ago and am extremely happy with the results.
Puchi (ぷち)means "mini" and is basically a way for members to give short updates on what they are doing right now - a bit like
Twitter for otaku.
Below: Your Menu has been upgraded where you can access all content that you have added in the past. The field enables you to one-click update on what you are doing.
Below: Your updates appear on your profile page, in the
Puchi Blurbs section and on the top page.
Soon, you will be able to add other members to your comrade list as well as communicate directly with each other - your Profile Page EX will play a key part in that feature.
BTW, Figure.fm development will have to wait just a wee bit longer as Mirai Inc takes on more new clients.
