EDIT: Not got much time to deal with constant mails from the seller and I apologize for getting some of my readers involved in this. Thus this review is going to turn into a glowing review ^^;

For those who are considering buying this helmet - its not designed to be worn. It does not say that on the original auction description page however.

The armor looks fine when you look at it from a distance but when you are close up you can start to see that the surface is not so "sharp and clean with no uneven surfaces. But hey I'm happy.

I'm still happy with the armor despite the blobs.
Timeless Movie Props (click to enlarge)
A few blobs on the helmet is trivial - looks great to me!

The glue showing through looks great too.

The cape from time to time covers these marks on the chest armor so its fine. It really is ^^;

Did I mention that the helmet looks great despite some blobs?

Looks like too much paint here with a dry drip. But it looks great.

I'd just take a personal plane trip to his house and scare him with the lightsaber. But before you bonk him on the head with an antique lamp have him ask who you are and then reply by ad-libbing that line from Space Balls as follows,

"..x_t_r_m... I am your father's, cousin's, brother's, best friend's, roommate, who bought your crappy junk!"

sorry for all the suffering you are dealing with the vader costume, I'm working on a Boba Fett costume but I'm doing it myself, paying for something just to unpaint then fix and paint again, X_T_R_M must feel the dark side of the force and ship himself to hell with his paypal orders.

ez-off oven cleaner takes paint off nicly without destroying the plastic. fiberglass ..

obviously all that damage is from some guy who doesn't know how to paint professionally.... and probably used a can of paint instead of a professional airbrush (although even amatures screw up airbrushes) and also didn't sand him down between coats... sloopy sloopy.. from far off he looks good but any closeups would get an eyesoar.. good luck on fixin him... and thanks for the warning on a half-a** dealler

FUZAKERUNA! (ふざけるな!) indeed. Danny, is there any of such star wars costumes available in the shop over in Japan?

It would be much better as you will be able to get the feel of the product rather than having to meet sellers like them.

Sorry to hear that your armor came out like this. Reminds me of my car with tiny dents and dust in the paint (first time I painted my car, I don't know how the dust got in the enclosed and ventilated room). Thanks though for the FUZAKERUNA saying, I will be able to use that ^-^.

Hey danny,

With the amount of money you spend, could you not buy a proper suit professionally made rather than through jerks off ebay.

Most of them seem to be some sort of a cheap scam. Saw it in the storm trooper and now the vader.

Yes, the helmet is made not to be worn...

So the following from their website:

..."The lenses are high quality optical lenses for clear vision."...

Then later:

..."The helmet features straps and padding for comfort and a snug fit as well as a screen-accurate mouth grill. The dome fits perfectly on top of the mask and connects tightly with a bolt going from the dome and locks in the inside of the mask with a nut. THIS ENABLES YOU TO MOVE AROUND WITHOUT FEARING THAT THE DOME WILL FALL OFF."

Really, why lie to a customer.

When you read something like this you expect merchandise to be just stated. Sure there will be people who say Danny Choo is complaining again. I think we all would...

I hope it doesn't feel like a pain in the ass when you're modifying it Danny or how you had to modify your Stormtrooper. x.x

I noticed you simply named the entry "Timeless Movie Props." Is this because you want your site to conjure up Google ads for Timeless Movie Props, with hope that users will click on them, in turn giving you money that was the money Timeless Movie Props used to pay for the ads.

So what I'm saying is that this entire entry is an elaborate plan to get your money back! :P

Clever!

Sorry ;__;

That really is some crap workmanship though. And after paying 1000+ for it, too.

That is indeed bullcrap (FUZAKERUNA! (ふざけるな!)) and I would not stand for it. Look in the Ebay Community or help section and file a fraud claim with this guy if you want your money back. False advertising is a crime, and he is screwed if he is in the USA. I wouldn't stand for that crap, and if it were me paying $1000+ USD I would go after the son of a gun.

Disturbing. I feel sorry for you, since you spend a lot of money and got tricked like that. What are you going to do? Fix the Costume or try to get your money back? Wait, you said you're trying to fix it.
I still think the Helmet is way to big, or something else is a bit wrong in proportion.
Interestingly enough, it looks right in the pictures at ebay. Wonder it that's really the same costume.

That is why I don't want to shop online at all. I never trust random people's reviews because it may be posted by accomplices.
Those scammers, I really would punch/kick 'em in the gut and pull all their nose hair, one by one.
Or maybe headbutt them with their own helm.

Hopefully you take it with sarcasm, saying that those are battle scars and all but also that you can repair all types of defects.

Masterpece of art... Modern art that no one understands? Don't make me laugh.
I just hope you recover from that event quickly.

@ Sweej: Good find. Hope it's not a scam either. (Maybe I am paranoid, in fact)

The problem you have with all the props you buy is the fact you don't do much research, in the star wars props you buy. For the money you spent on your FX armor kit from costumejunky you could have had a suit from movie molds for less! that would fit you like a glove. aslo with the timeless props another Ebayseller that deals in Inaccurate GT junk. Not to be rude i am a prop collector my self. do a little shopping around. E-mail me if you want to see my trooper sometime.
