Fancy seeing a 1/1 scale version of RX78 with your own eyes? Well get yourself along to Fujikyu Highland park this summer and run along to the Gundam Crisis ride. This 18 meter 1/1 scale of Gundam RX78 will be waiting for you in a dock but from the details at Fujikyu's page it looks like it just lies there ^^;

All the fun should be had in the attraction which will cost 700 yen a go or free if you have a daily Free Pass. Not sure how exciting the attraction is going to be as the press release states that its going to be a "walk through type attraction."
Will be interesting to see how realistic they make it. Folks around Tokyo in Summer can get there by train from JR Shinjuku station
Via Nomanoshiwaza.
Time for more Verses shenanigans. You are going to be stranded on a dessert island (...(more)

1/1 scale? Thats means actul size heh... It looks cool but why lying down? I hope they have a version that stands up. I would also like to see the cockpit where the pilot sits. I hope you will take some pictures of this life size gundam Danny ^^

I'm going to Tokyo in August so i definatley have to check this out.There should be more Gundam attractions around. It would be cool if they had one of those simulators but instead of sitting inside the cockpit of a plane or a the front of a car,your sitting in the Pilots seat of a Gundam.I wonder which Gundams they will use in this attraction.

i would like to see it. maybe someday we can see it moving like the real rx. =D... so then japanese will use it for military purpose.. then a "real mobile suit war" come true! oh man sorry for too much imagination.

700 yen for the photo op, well worth it if they made it 'realistic'. Would be great if they let you climb up to what would be the cockpit area and do an Amuro pose...

Next thing you know, they'll have a functional cockpit, outlining how the heck they perform complex manuevers with lever pushes and pulls... =P
