Spent a day in Akiba last week and thought I'd pop into Orient Industries Candy Girl showroom to see their latest Model Jewel Rosa. I've seen Candy Girl Ai in the 'flesh' but not the new ones.
Walked in to be greeted by Koyuki lying on a bed waiting to be inspected. The guy in the showroom invites me to inspect her eyes - I reluctantly accept his offer. Very soft eyes she has! ^^;
I've Mirai Censored these pics but if you want to see the uncensored versions, you can get yourself along to Orients Rosa page - you know the drill though - only click through if you are over 18, look over 18, good at pretending to be over 18 or want to be over 18.

The doll on the far right is also a Jewel Rosa model with the Ami face fitted.

There were about 20 dolls in the show room all waiting to be inspected. Until very recently, one could go in and take a load of photos but Orient decided that they should consider the dolls feelings - now you can go but only take a few snaps.

More dolls. You can even get ones with their eyes closed.

Orient needs two weeks to make one of these for you. AFAIK they only ship to addresses in Japan. I actually get many requests to buy a Candy girl to ship outside of Japan! But I'm not interested...

Ask for a brochure and you will receive a pack containing a ton of Candy girl pics and some samples of what shes made of.

Some pics form the catalog.
If you are visiting Akihabara then I recommend that you pop along to the show room for a most interesting experience. They have one in Osaka too and details are here. You need to make a reservation though.

I'm imposing the Barbie law onto the Candy girls. It states that the proportions of the Barbie models are disproportioned to a point where she'd move like a lethargic sloth with bits of flesh strangling her circulation.

In short, a Candy girl would probably be unable to walk in real life.

i heard they use the hair/scalp from corpses when making these. Thats why the hair is so realistic and each one is slightly different from the other

Haha scared the sh*t out of ya! But still, think about it...

No matter how attractive they look, candy girl seems a little creepy to me. That distant, vacant stare, the lifeless body... Gahh! Superb craftsmanship, but I wouldnt want one! A visit to the showroom would be.... intresting though.
You want a candy girl, dontcha Danny..? Go oooon - you know you want to!
Its a good job those showrooms are not open to the public for just anyone to visit at anytime - ive seen the state of that 'sample; Jumbo 'Mimi ball' in Lammtarra!

Hey Danny, More Candy Girl as you promised :)
http://www.dannychoo.com/blog_entry/eng/813/East+VS+West+-+Games/
but somehow after looking at the pic it seems scary to be alone with all those dolls at night.

It does have an uncanny look. But their series seems to have cover all various type of females...

Not sure I would go if I had only a week in Japan, but I do want to see one up close. One day, I will have to make an appointment to see them close-up. I find them interesting. Most people would say I'm an odd person anyway, so it's no surprise. I have no desire to own one. I'm sure it's how you feel too Danny. Although, it doesn't stop us from being curious.

I would rather stick to a real life girl. Although I admit I love the detail that these "dolls" are getting since it started and I'm pretty sure a lot of Japanese men are happy as well. I would stop by the showroom for maybe an hour to check it out though.

If I won a weeks trip for Japan, I would definetly hit all the major shrines and tourist attractions. I would head over to mount Fuji and spend some time around Tokyo. And of course.... An all out spending spree of at the minimum, 60,000 Yen in Akihabara on as many anime, gundam, and manga goodies as I can get ^^. One thing I always wanted to do was visit the beaches of Okinawa to see what they are like. I would also, at least once would like to ride the subway to at least see what it is like! Japan is the land of the weird and interesting, but I really have no interest in candy girl shopping (or candy girl on that note). I would definetly try and take in all Japan has to offer in 7 days though!!

was wondering if the average joe could just pop into the Akiba showroom to check them out, or maybe get some photos of the lineup as well. Any idea?
