Akiba Report 2

Here is the second part of my Akiba 'report' broadcasted last Friday night on Tokyo MX TV. Uploaded to YouTube for you to take a look at while you take a poo or something. I say that because I noticed some employees at Microsoft taking their laptops into the toilet. They could just be taking a poo between meetings but what I bet they are really up to is...

Infront of a vending machine that contains my fave Japanese drink - Calpis water. Renamed 'Calpico' in the west because 'Calpis' sounded too much like 'Cow Piss'.
BTW, my report starts 5 mins into that YouTube clip.
Get your Idol DVDs at Lammtarra when you are in town.
Toranoana is a place where you can all your anime, ero, doujin and other stuff to keep you company on those lonely nights.
After seeing myself on TV for a while, I am determined to get rid of the "ehtooo, ahno" - the equivalent in English being "ummmmm, ermmmmm". I know I have that bad habit in English too. I'm not usually like that and only become the "erm-man" infront of the camera ^^;
Walking around Toranoana. If you came here you would probably use up all your money. Saw a really nice image book of Louise from Zero no Tsukaima. BTW, anybody getting this figure of Louise?
This is the Maid Footcare place that I talked about previously.
Being 'welcomed home' by the maids.
Getting the hand care treatment.
Getting some grub and rest at one of those Starbucks look alike cafes.
For those who dont know, after Starbucks set up in Japan, many others jumped on the bandwagon and set up cafes which looked exactly like Starbucks - even the logo was similar.
To be continued?! Well yes - more shooting at Nakano Broadway this week.
The video recordings of my TV appearance last Friday are up and I've just added them to ...(more)

I don't touch Starbucks and I'm in the states. It's overpriced for weak coffee.

I have a bad habit of saying "you know" quite a bit. Its just so annoying.

Laptops in the toilet? Either Microsoft has a lot of dedicated workers or there's some great wifi coverage there.

Looking forward to the next installment. I've started doing that ehtooo bit too, as well as sooo desu. Ugh, I can't stop!

Calpis is one of my favorites too...

Like the part with you in the coffee shop.  I should own stock in Starbucks.  I feel like I'm always in their shops. ^^;

I'm afraid to go near a Toranoana shop just for that reason. ^^; I think I'm safe for now, most of their shops are around the Tokyo area. Then again, I believe I seen their ad for Osaka area. Oooh all hope is lost now. ^o^

I have not seen that Louise figure offered at shops that ship outside of Japan. Maybe it will appear when it comes out this month.

Cool stuff, Danny. Haha, heard about 20 ehtoos there. I'm kinda used to Stormtroopers going -Yes, my lord- and not talking about anime and doujin. =D

** I did take my laptop into the toilet once...I just have this to say. Do not game without your pants on. ^^

That was pretty short compared to the first one. Also Toronoana is one of the best places to goto in Akihabara. What even more awesome is that there are 3 shops. However my friends and I could never find the 2nd shop.

Also I have that Louise on preorder. It's more of a matter of having the money to pay for it, lol.

Drink coffee is much better than drink those red bull stuff. I would probably drink starbucks coffee if they opened one near my house, until then I'll continue to prepare my own coffee

Starbucks doesn't exist in my country because people here don't like to drink those huge galons of cofee nor ice cofee, just a regular express.

Oh by the way, there are a couple of Starbucks in Paris, France... Implemented in the touristic parts of the city.

I guess they are quite popular (with youths being the majority probably), but since people are used to the usualcoffee/cappuccino, it hasn't spread as much as the McDos.

I don't drink coffee,so i've never been to a Starbucks. Congrats on being on TV yet again. They should give you your own TV show now. I think "OtakuTrooper" would be a good name for it.

No Starbucks in Finland, though we do have "Robert's coffee". Which is quite similar to Starbucks I guess (, but Finnish). Robertscoffee.com

When I was Japan I went to Tulley's coffee or something. The logo was pretty much alike with Starbucks if I remember right. Sigh.. never got to visit the maid cafe's.

Same here! I'm missing Calpis here as well, love it ;p. I should check out the Chinese supermarket if they might have it as they also have a small Japanese section.

Gonna watch the video later at noon, when I have my break here at work ;p

Just wanted to watch that clip on YouTube, but it seems it got removed by the user.

Also, I voted on the poll, and everything is still at 0%...

About StarBucks, we don't have StarBucks in Belgium, and as I don't drink coffee, so I'm not sad about it ;p
