Aren't Ikea detolf basically just made for Otaku? ^_^ It was the first thing we bought after me and my Ota-gf moved out, for our CLAMP, Haruhi and other figures ^_^
lol Singapore Ikea outlets do sell hotdogs too and its quite cheap and nice too
Wondering what you were doing near lingerie, but I shouldn't ask. By the way, it's the thrill... The thrill! Go ask Happosai for more details. Taiko no Tatsujin, eh? Reminds me of the Lucky Star scene... Oh how I miss this anime now. Nice hair on the IKEA checkout pic, Danny. One did notice you doing your shenanigans. ^^ Manhole? Looks like Mr. Game & Watch can't save that one. Lovely figures otherwise.
I'm currently sitting on an Ikea chair named "Moses"... in the shop next to the Moses box sat a chair named DAVE, Ikea + names = crazy.
Danny what do you DO, exactly? How come you're visiting all these figure companies, at the same time meet idols, produce beautiful drawings of Mirai, produce a manga (?)?
Haha yeah my pad is almost like one of those ikea display set ups.. Detolf clear glass case is part of my room ensemble. Need to go and buy two more actually.
i have several ikea furnitures as well including a couple of detolfs. one for mecha, the other for girls. might need more.
I like Ikea, they give out free pencils and papers... That was like a few years ago, don't know about now though...
ya i have a detolf too. it houses most of my figures and gundams. speaking of which i've a suggestion. maybe we can get members to send in photos of their detolfs with their collections inside and consolidate the best ones into a post. wouldn't that be cool? ^^;
I like Ikea, they leave free pencils for you to take... Yea...
Yep, getting Detolf glass display cabinet myself too soon. Need one for them nice figures. Also from IKEA but only two outlets here in Singapore and one of them actually ran out of stock for the color I wanted. Are there that many who want the same thing as I do here lol.
Most of my apartment and parent's home is ikea furniture. I don't think I could even list it all, there is so much. Plus the lighting, artwork, and dishes...
Stormtrooper amour with brushes sticking out of the helmet. That could be the next fashionable hit!!!
there's only one ikea outlet in Malaysia which is in Kuala Lumpur. usually will look around ikea for some furniture and ship them to my place or just looking around when i'm there. nice place to stroll around, lots of nice furniture. plus their swedish meatballs FTW. *drool*
Ikea's hotdogs are everywhere, and looks like they're tasty everywhere. D@mn, now I'm hungry. Good thing I live near an Ikea branch *cue evil laughter*
I still have 6 stackable Ikea book cases that I got when I was only 6. Really durable stuff that is. I'm a bit ashamed as I don't have the collector-mandatory Detolf, although I guess I should as my figures are gathering dust like nobody's business
Quite alot of my furniture are IKEA. Not very sure about the IKEA hotdogs, but I love their meatballs. ^^; I want SAFS too, too bad I blew my budget on a certain visual book... Very SFW kinds hehe.
Do you own Ikea furnitures? HEll ya! everything in my room is Ikea (mainly due to the reason that Ikea goods are relatively cheap and nice looking....)
Nice in this week anyways. Just to be sightseeing and tastely foods. I try to cook yakisoba but i cook "Pansit"..
Well if you call a Detolf furniture then yes, I do have one. Apart from that I don't buy furniture in Ikea, sometimes if I can spend a bit more then I'll go get something better because I find the materials of Ikea very "weak" they're not think enough, the more thick the wood the better and more resistant it is.
The past two complete furniture sets i had in my apparments were all from IKEA 100%. On my last move to Cologne i bought a complete new furniture set again except the bed, it was still good and not to heavyly damaged by my bunnies. Even my desk is self-made from the IKEA metal roll containers with a load of drawers, then just screwed one of their desk plates onto two of them, looks good and has awesome lots of space + moveable due rolls lol. Btw those top lights you did photograph there Danny, i got two of them on my BONDE racks to throw light down, they are pretty nice, make a nice ambiente light if you only have them on in the room when it's dark. Though nothing beats candles, in case of ambiente. :D (And even candles are awesome at IKEA...)
All of my desks and office stuffs are from Ikea. They look modern and clean and are easy to assemble. Easy to pick out what you need, cheap, durable, and quick. I even got the same trash bin from the picture where you are chillaxin at a desk.
danny, lord vader will like to see you in his office first thing in the morning. something about that picture of you sticking brushes on your helmet.
Oooo I love Maccha. In fact I love most things green tea, especially boba. That desert looks amazing, like french toast with ice cream. Nice, I see B'z Action.
I don't yet, but I plan to once i move out. They have some nice displays I want for my figures. So Danny, how is it you come by so many SAFS?
I love Ikea, their designs are modern and smart! And, of course, it´s from Sweden, so it has to be good! The Stormtrooper pics made my day. ;3
I love Ikea. I've only been to one once but it was such a cool experience. I got a little glowing creature-light-thing. Loves it. I wanted a torch-snake too, but didnt in the end. I didnt know about these detolf glass case things, but I'm glad I do now, will prove most useful to me. Mwhahahahaha! When I was at Ikea I had swedish meatballs and fries, and for desert, lingenberry jelly!! And you get free refills on drinks!! FREE!! Everything there is sooooo cheap is awesome. And the food was mega-yummy!! Anyways, Gyaaaaaa Choo-san!! You are sooo lucky..... the shopping district photo looked like it was straight out of Chobits!! That photo of the cheap underwear made me think of the "pantsu!" in Chobits too lol. That Ryuna-san figure is too fine, major-WANTage. Me wants the Manabi-chan too. Such a cute figure.
Based on the positive comments on Ikea.. When I move out of this bloody condo, maybe I'm going to check Kuala Lumpur's Ikea for furnishing needs. @Gordon LOL! Lord Vader sure is sensitive on uniformity. @Danny SAFS are cool! I do want SAFS.. ^^
I got a bunch of things from Ikea, but the art table I bought from them still has no legs cause they are never in stock ;_; . Though their stuff is good for the price, sometimes it's very hard to find something you really need from them.
Ikea is the booomb! half the stuff in my room is from Ikea. I'm a black mac owner myself (for over a year now) and have been wondering if it was only my screen that was dimming to such an extent. My full brightness is only about a half brightness setting on my friend's newer (white) macbooks. Anyone else having these problems? I'm wondering if I should take it in, and how much it would cost to fix =/
I frown at the use of SAFS since it sounds to similar to Singapore Armed Forces(SAF) which i only recently managed to "escape" from but i like what it means heh (^_^)> Anyway i love IKEA, most of my furniture's from IKEA. Cheap, good designs and easy to coordinate with ANYTHING! love love love
This is your first time playing on Taiko no Tatsujin? Surprisingly the cost per play in Hong Kong is actually cheaper than that in Japan; usually less than 100 yen for 2-3 songs (4-6 HKD for most arcade places).
my kitchenfurnitures and the livingroom sofa is from ikea ^^ cost me an arm and leg though
We have some Ikea stuff. I think everybody has at some point or another. Supposedly, Ingvar Kamprad, Ikea's founder was said to be richer than Bill Gates at some point. Sometimes our furniture wobbles when fully assembled, so you gotta get some felt pads to stabilize. Random manga, huh? Random image of Mirai, huh? Lying randomly on the table together, huh? I'm sure its all just a coincidence, Danny. I don't see where you're going with this, as nobody has commented on it yet. ;-) Ryuna's backside looks positively peachy. @gordon, that's just the seldom seen Death Star Lvl 5 security maintanance trooper. Standard uniform with hanging brushes for easy access. Been looking for work since DS blew up... twice.
There is Ikea by my house so I do have some stuffs from there, mainly my desk and book cases. That Indo Tei place's food looks good, maybe try there next time I visit Japan. Anyone can dine in there or employees only?
Don`t like Ikea furnitures, no good quality...
I have a bed that I got at Ikea when I lived in Vancouver...I'd get more stuff, but the nearest Ikea from where I'm living now is almost 500 km away. >.> I hear we are getting an Ikea here in a year or two though, which would be really nice.
Ikea is where we get cheap and sorta reliable furnitures. Ain't gonna need it that long anyway so isn't that much of a deal. I lol-ed at the disaster evacuation guide pictogram... Reminds me of Portal. ^^; As usual, the cake is a lie and its a black forest cake. D:
Cant believe you are an otaku living in japan and havent played Taiko before! I love it and brought a Japanese PS2 back just to play it. I now have nearly all of them on the ps2, as well as all the pop'n musics. My avatar is from Taiko. Also, freeing haruhi get? Dont you mean figma? You certainly got a lot of figures! your house must be getting rammed by now! Hehe - that pic of you with the ikea utensils on your head is great! Are there many ikeas in japan?
Ikea is love (well some of it :P) we live quite near one (about 15 mins drive?) buy and uhh sometimes return stuff ^^; esp since hubs and me moved last year :P Managed to fit a Malm queen size bed into our hatchback ^O^!!! We got those brushes U have on the helmet! Maybe I should try to suction it on my glasses next time (not!) I love their frozen yougurt! Oiishiso! and that meeting dessert (hoshii!!)
We've got an IKEA in Milwaukee, about 1 1/2 hours from Madison. Maybe I should roadtrip there to see what they've got. More fun than just browsing the website.
IKEA shopping is rather therapeutic don't you think. How many (1/8) PVC figures can the Detolf cases hold? They seem pretty small to me...
Saber Nendoroid must get...
Got some Ikea stuff, but not everything is from there. I think I'm going to get one of those Detolf's as I'm starting to assemble some gunplas, I see you guys like them, so they can't be bad ;)
The Detolf was one I was also looking at for Figures. give that it's 5' tall, I'd say each shelf space is about 16"x16"14". not sure if my Fate Testarosa would fit in that.
green tea ice cream get wonfes fate/lucky star nendoroids get
IKEA is cool, decent furniture, good prices. That DETOLF case looks nice, going to get this weekend. Thanks for sharing that.
