I usually take the Skyliner train to and from the airport - comfortable seats and faster than the Narita Express (and cheaper).

Lovely dish by your wife I think my mom knows how to cook that as well :)

If everyone would like to know what their christmas gift from me is, just solve this riddle! Now, back to wrapping presents, and acting retarded with the gf.

Riddle:
Any kid the age of five can figure this out....

What is greater than any deity, and more evil than Satan?
Rich men need it, very poor men have it,
If you eat too much of it, you will die.

Enjoy your presents!

I suddenly remembered that some time ago you promised you'd be dropping by at Singapore, Danny. ;P

Oh my gosh, Orchard Road was a wreck last night, Christmas Eve. The streets were absolutely packed, and it didn't help that mercenaries toting spray cans of foam were hiding among the crowd, occassionally breaking out into gangfights.

I am at home with friends and family (3d) this Christmas. I'm not to thrilled about it and I would rather be alone back at the University or with my roommate. Christmas is kind of ruined for me- something about an arguement yesterday that made me upset so I will be keeping a gift that I made (it originally wasnt this persons gift anyways).

Maybe it is me adjusting to being on my own- but for some reason I havn't been happy very lately. I prefer to stick around campus and hang out there- despite having few friends there. Now if I could only transform this independence and live the rest of my life having fun! =). I think that is coming very shortly.

I will probably hang out all day playing Super Mario Galaxy and Call of Duty 3. My laptop died and is acting up again so we may need to send it back in; it seems like it is 1 in those 1,000,000 flukes on the production line: in my 13 years of computer experience I've never had the problem and no one on any end, including myself can figure out the problem. I may also play Battlefield 2 (just discovered the joys of it- Ill write a review in the coming weeks on my blog if interested) and have some fun with that.

Merry Christmas, Danny! ^__^

Danny, just wondering, do you ever communicate verbally with anyone while you're in your Darth Vader or Stormtrooper suit? And if you do (in Japanese?), do you put on a deeper voice??

I was actually looking at reviews of the Ricoh GRII on dpreview.com (no full review yet last I was there) just the other day. Thinking about getting either a GR or an entry model digital SLR with a decent lense.

The retro pics look cool! How long has that dog statue in Shibuya been there? Nevermind, I should just wiki it.

I love nasi goreng! It's one of my favourites. Never been to a Mos Burger, interesting.

Spent Christmas lunch with my gf and her family at their place and just had dinner with my family at a local cafe restaurant. Hope everyone have a safe and fantastic Christmas!!

Hey danny, have you tried the respro foggy mask? you may want to use it to keep your vader helm steam free. link here: http://www.respro.com/racing.php

Its is just me or that the modern train ticket machines looks like slot machines? :P

@Sarg: Just because Danny doesnt mention his wife on his blog and we rarely sees her in danny's pics doesnt mean she's being left alone all the time. Im sure she's doing alot of work at the back to support danny and Im pretty sure they are a happy couple.

It's probably a stupid question but, is your vader helmet vented Danny? Fogging? I forgot what brand but there's a type of lens liquid that you can spray on so that it doesn't get foggy. Maybe you can acquire some thermal lenses somewhere that are tinted black?

I'd be spending Xmas alone, but this time I decided to travel with my mom on her usual trip to her hometown (12 hour trip by bus).

It's kinda hard. A very small city (less than 6000 inhabitants). I'm spending 10 days here... they finally had an upgrade from dial-up, but the speed remains almost the same.

Computer is slow and old, and there's absolutely nothing to do all day apart from eating and sleeping.

They have those huge parabolic antennas just to get some basic TV channels.

It's freaking hot and humid, there are no air conditioners, and everytime I come here there's someone sick. Last time I came, some 7 years ago, it was me. This time it's my cousin.

It would be nice to take my time, play some games, study some stuff and start my project... but I just can't concentrate with this temperature.

Anyways, one more week to go. Then another bus, 6 more hours, and I'm on the biggest brazilian city (São Paulo), where another "section" of my family lives. Cooler climate, and there's this big japanese neighborhood where I will probably spend a small fortune on imported artbooks, magazines and hopefully, figures.

Oh, and of course: FOOD.
