Danny Burger King came back into Japan in June this year, unless they left already. It's was in Shinjuku. Also the whole time I was in Japan I only saw one Wendy's, and I was really surprised to see it.
Sulk, Thanks for the correction - post updated ^^;
I've always liked Wendy's... when I used to eat fast food. They were cool.
Never been to one. I dont think ive ever seen one in the UK, and i tend to avoid US burger chains while im over there.
I can't remember quite well, since last time I tried all three was over 10 years ago, but I think the one I didn't like the most was KFC. I was 15 on my last trip to USA. Well, here in Brazil we do have McDs and I think we once had Wendy's.. not shure if there's still any around... but I dropped fast food for almost 5 years (back to it now though). Not only that, I dropped soft drinks and tried to eat stuff like potato chips and some other artificial stuff as few as I could. I'm back full force on those now... kinda regretting it already, but meh, I needed a break. We do have Burger Kings here though only in major cities... and Pizza Huts (love 'em). Oh, on Brazil we do have a fast food chain (called Giraffas) that makes... we call it the everyday brazilian meal. Rice, beans, meat of some type and salad. They have like some 10 different types of combinations, the price is pretty much the same as a McD combination, and it's healthier too.
Wendy's is still pretty popular in US, first to start $1 menu war amongst fast food chains. Big thing with Wendy's is using never frozen beef for their burgers. BK sounds like had issues in Asia few years back, I know they pulled out of Korean market, then re-entered not too long ago.
teriaki burger??????????? i wish they made a teriaki burger here..you wouldn't be able to stop me from eating there daily..sadly the onlytime i had a teriaki burger from a fast food chain was from mcdonalds when i was stationed in hawaii for ahwile.. it lasted for..i guess a year.. small and cheep but very good.. messy with gobs of teriaki sacue and mayo.. and some letuce..loved those.. and miss them.. need to start a letter writng campain to inclue them in the $1 menu :D
there's no wendy's in singapore. heck, even burger king is hard to find here. ('~')
Mmm, Wendy's. Nice to know that they have Teriyaki Burgers since I LOVED the McDonald's ones. Mmmmmm. I wish I was back in Japan so I could have some more! No Teriyaki love in California :9
Wendy's...good stuff o_< b. Definitely has way better food and value then Mc Donalds. Tasty and hefty burgers, so much better than Mc Donald's soggy burgers. :p Each meal comes with salad, chilli beans or fries too and a drink. It's a shame that Wendy's is dying out. There's like only one Wendy in Richmond. :/
Wendy's here taste great, so does KFC. Although eating too much of either will probably kill you from fat intake. Mickey D's is so-so, but everywhere. When I was in Tokyo ages ago I did surprisingly find a BK in Shibuya (probably not there anymore). Meat taste like I was chewin on dried rat with ketchup. What did surprise me when I was there was not the food (except the teriyaki burger), but the uniforms. Girls at Mickey D's had short skirts on. All uniforms here are pants regardless of gender. "Hey baby, nice legs. Can you ring me up a teriyaki burger?"

In Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) we have loads of fast foodz chains like KFC, McD, Pizza Hut, B.K, Dominos, Shakeys, Subway, ..to name a few. But so far, no Wendy's as of yet
NOTHING tastes better than Burger King oO... And no Burger King in Japan or just a few?! WTF??? ^^;
Wendy's were closest to my office in Ebisu, but their food is comparatively fat laden and greasy, in my view. I prefer Maccas or KFC if I'm in the mood for chicken. Their teriyaki burger I do like very much, however. Now that I'm back in Australia, I'm Wendy'less, since they only lasted a year here back in the 80's when they tried to move in here. Now there's just an unrelated chain with the same name, but they only sell ice creams and hot dogs.
Wendy's does not exist here, plus when I went to the States the first time and tried it I didn't like it, must be because I'm more used to typical food than fast food

come on 5 min of hacking around the net found the japanese website for wendys. http://www.nihon-wendies.co.jp/ i now want to find out where they are. the uk branches all closed down about 8,9 years ago becuase they weren't making any money.
wendy's is actually one of the resturants i still remember in japan, its a HUGE difference from the wendy's here in calgary. their bugers are well done, the sauce on the burger is delicious. my mom left for japan today about an hour ago and i was very sad i wasn't able to go with her.
There's no Wendy's here in Singapore. But there's a fast food chain Carl's Jr which makes really good and gigantic burgers.
Wendy tasted bland when it was still avail in singapore, we used to have Arby's but that tasted much better...but prefer Burger Kings Double-Swiss Mushroom...:p
While Wendy's isn't as large a chain as McDonalds or Burger King we have a fair amount of them where I live and they seem to do good business. In a way thats no surprise since the food is okay and reasonably priced not to mention Ohio is where Wendy's started and the Corporate big shots still have offices here. I don't go to them to often since I have an obsession with Taco Bell.
i love Wendy's! the last time i ate Wendy's was at the Mall of Asia and SM Mega Mall in Manila in August of 2006. before that it was way back in 2004 when i used to live in Guam. it still tasted as delicious as ever.
jeez this makes me hungry ^^ and I can't choose which has the worst taste cause they all seem to taste fine here
Can't really vote for this... we don't have Wendy's here(and it's the 1st time I've heard of Wendy's, sadly) and McD + KFC is equally bland here. Burger King is still the best.
We don't have Wendy's in Belgium. We have McD and a few KFC, but also a belgian chain called Quick just like McDonalds. I like Quick more than McDonalds. McDonalds actually changed the taste of the kind of similar taste between the Big Mac and the Giant (from Quick). But I like a Giant more than a Big Mac, but if I'm in a foreign country, I take a Big Mac. But I should try Wendy's one day...
Looks yummy..never had a chance to tried it out.

There's Denny's as well... although they serve a Western/Japanese mix/fusion. Meal was quite okay - the califlower was horrible though. There's one Wendy's store near Ebisu... along the way to Daikanyama. Not too good for my taste, I'm afraid
theres a wendy in singapore? not sure man have not tried it ... never even heard or seen such a shop
There's a Wendy's right near my house. Perfect for a late night snack.
I've never EVER tried Wendy's in my life even though it's popular over here.

here, wendy's went out of business a couple of years ago, they couldn't get a market share next to macdonalds and burger king, so just closed all their restaurants and left.
Mmmmm....Wendy's. Does Japan's Wendy's have the 100 yen menu like here in the US where we have 1 USD menu which you can order chili, side salad, chicken nuggets, shake, etc.?
Teriyaki burgers... I wonder what those taste like. How much are those anyway? By the way, there's this theory called the "Big Mac Index" where you compare countries based on the cost of their Big Macs. Interesting stuff... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Mac_Index
If you're ever in the States, you should try the new Baconator. 1/2 pound of meat, 6 strips of bacon, and 2 slices of gooey cheese. It's a mouthful of sweet, sweet death. (And I can't stop eating it.) :]
I hardly even eat Wendy's out here in Los Angeles, considering they lack store locations where convinient, but there are a lot of Mc Donald's and Jack In The Box restaurant's. So there's a chance i'll never eat Wendy's in Japan.
Wendy's.... not in South Africa, I think I've heard of it somewhere before, but it's definitely not here. =( Never liked KFC... nor Mcdonald's :P
sadly i can't choose between the 3 options in the poll. I love all 3. too bad though there isn't a wendy's around here in town.
I've just realized that Wendys never did had any TV commercials at all ! Amazing ! I use to hang out at the one in Takadanobaba near my film school as a student.
wow lol at WENDY'S! long time i saw one of them here in the UK. a lot of their stores closed up after a year or so. I only ever saw 2 of them & they werent local to me either.
I like Wendy's. Plus they got the $1 Chicken Nuggets! Woot! Oh and it's probably not popular because of the severed FINGER in a customers chili. Surprise, surprise!
Always loved the WENDY`S location close by the Eibisu train station - open 24 hours - perfect for when you come out of Eibisu Club Milk drunk & hungry at 5:30AM !! I also used to live i9n London in the 1980`s then again in the 1990`s. Actually , London used to have KFC, McDonalds, Wendy`s, Wimpy`s (you`ll only know that one if you`re british..) as well as Taco Bell (!) AND ARBY`S (!!) Sadly Arby`s has been gone for years there (they have also all closed down here in California) - wonder why they never tried to open one in Tokyo ?? Then , on the other hand Tokyo has FRESHNESS BURGER (kick ass food) and MOS BURGER (really tatsty too) I think Tokyo has great selection - apparantly there are 50,000 restaraunts in the TOKYO area !!
Hey Danny, I will be in London for Christmas - I will MSN you, maybe you return the the U.K. to visit your family back in Hackney over the holidays? Hope so! Sean
well that severed finger was proven to be a hoax and the people involved were arrested..but yes that did all sorts of damage to the company...but Wendys was always the smaller of the fast food retailers. heck theres only one here, where i live vs. untold dozens of carls jr. Kfc's and McD's and 2 burgerkings... Say how are Pizza Huts in Japan, i know it was very different in Indonesia vs. the US...here its sit where you want and when your pizza is done they will toss it on the table for you, but when i was in Indonesia it was like some high class resturant with waiters and forks, a place to go kinda place...not what i was used to at all...
I actually tried the one and only burger king (which pulled out and returneded), it's kinda on the way/at Ikebukuru's Sunshine city, near the Mac Donald's -- it's pretty tasty. The Wendy's at Ikebukuru area is not impressive tho -- burger was cold and fries were old! (Maybe we just went to a bad branch :P)
Oops apparently there's one at Shinjuku too? (Should have scrolled all the way down :P) And I forgot to mention, Wendy's here is so so, (burgers are bigger than in Japan, but kinda not very tasty =_=) there's an A&W near our home which is YUM tho :P I'm such a fast food junkie ^^;;;;
Wendy's??? YUM! Unfortunately here in Sydney we don't have them, We got Hungry Jack or Burger King, & some local burger franchise, last year when I went back to Indonesia & Singapore, I went to Wendy's & A&W, they even have dairy queen! plus our all time favorite Yoshinoya (Japan & US a bit different). Too bad its getting harder to find Chicken express & Red Rooster here, they kept closing down and too any Mc/KFC poping up. :(
Wendy's isn't popular here but i'm glad it isn't it has become my friend's little hand out.. which most people use Mikky D's for..I haven't eaten McDs for awhile.. almost since a year..I ate there last week.. my friend was reluctant to go.. i pondered why.. and found out why when we got our comboes..the bread was hard, the cheese was suspiciously solid.. but the best part was the fries.. our burgers came in a small box ,instead of those wrappers everyone else uses.. my friend took a small mini fry and asked me to examine it.. yes it was a real fry.. hard.. but a fry.. next thing i knew she took the fry.. and impaled it right through the burger box.. instantly sending me in a frenzy of laughter!
say has anyone seen a CFC around? i saw one in Padang Indoniesia, its a California Fired Chicken...oddly enough I(living in California) have never seen one here in the states...
there are a lot of Wendy's around here i live I know of at least 3
Whats with the "6" sign? O_O
Here in New York, Wendy's is pretty popular. There's one by my college and one by my old high school.
Wendy's do have TV commercials Danny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeEPoRkGM_c
I had a wendys back when I was a kid and my family went over to the US of A for a holiday. They were actually really good, but I didn't think much of their chances in other markets when their tag was "Americas 4th favorite fast food chain" For me, KFC rules the roost and then it's Burger king. Wendys would be above BK if there were any in the UK and i just avoid McD like the plague
Is that the Wendy's in Ginza? Eating in there reminded me of my lunches at primary school, probably it was due to the small chairs. During the summer I remember having a hot dog set from their menu, which was really dry despite a horrendous amount of ketchup on it. Other then that, the 'tomato chicken sand' set was alright. Not the best when compared to the filth that McD's brings us (─▽─)
Back in the 80's we had a Wendy in Brussels ( I used to have a student pass :))but it closed..competition between McDo and Quick ( our local stuff ) was too fierce...no burger king also no KFC... But when in japan I'll go and re-taste a Wendy...count on it
Can't answer your question...because we don't have Wendy's here in Holland. >.
I eat neither of the three or any fast
