When you're fed up of eating Ramen (noodles) like this then you will be glad to hear that there are some radical alternatives in Tokyo...

For example, how about Ramen with two wallops of ice cream?
Apparently ice cream in with Ramen may become the next big thing in Tokyo according to this article.
Kikuya in Kitasenjyu is the place to visit for this delicacy (?) where they also serve, Yogurt Ramen, Coffee Ramen and Cocoa Ramen.
If ice cream Ramen doesn't tickle your taste buds then you may want to try the best Ramen that Tokyo has to offer at Kururi in Ichigaya as voted for and seen on TV below.
Places that serve Ramen are everywhere - I get my fill at least a few times a week. How about you?

COFFEE Ramen! Wow they have to bring that here!

I don't have Ramen all that often, primarily because most of my family hates Japanese food, so I only go with friends once or twice a month... when I do go, I often order ramen though.

(It's hideously expensive here as well though. :'()

I've had ice cream ramen before! It was really bizarre, but it tasted so good. It's a really good combo. Apparently you need the right kind of ice cream though, or it just tastes strange.

I tended to eat instant noodles (including ramen and udon) very frequently in the past. I gave up on it and eat some in very exceptional cases (mainly when I don't have anything else to eat). My alternative? Pasta (think fibers!).

Ice cream ramen? Seems a bit disgusting to the eye, but why not? I wouldn't try though, thank you.

I prefer to put jasmine rice, chopped salad and maybe some meat (chicken bologna for some novelty, anyone?) in my soups (both western and eastern styles... miso soup is royally good with (only) rice added, trust me), it adds a lot of consistency and some more flavor.

Ice cream in ramen makes me remember of Orihime Inoue (Bleach, yup), who tends to be fond of odd mixtures (red bean paste in particular).

lovetanime, you have to choose the right brand of instant noodles to fully enjoy them.

Some examples include: Sapporo Ichiban, Maruchan (Never tried), Nissin noodles (Cup Noodles being one of my favorites) and Neogiri (this one is Korean).

Oh and I forgot to mention that pasta has become my staple food (though it is part of a healthy diet poor in fat and rich in fibers). ;)

Hmmm... that ice cream ramen looks pretty interesting, interesting enough to try for the least.
I remembered my previous trips to Japan and what not, the ramen in Japan just seems to set the standards, and the standards in America fail for the most part...

I like ramen a lot and love to try some more flavours. Went to the ramen museum in Yokohama, but only ate at one of the 9 ramen shops there.
But is it me, or what, but every time I wanted to eat ramen, I couldn't find a ramen shop... (same goes for a kare raisu shop). Therefore, the more of these I know, the better for next time ;p
There is a food chain called Wagamama, that has a shop in Antwerp here, and I like going there to eat some ramen or something else. It's the only place that has many Japanese-type of food, while other Japanese restaurants usually have only certain specialties, while Wagamama has also more of the Japanese "fastfood" :)

Looks kinda weird, specially when you just throw the ice creams with cones directly into the ramen, but I'd try that.
You never know how good it gets until you taste it.

I tasted great combinations on sushis here in Brazil also... japanese chefs likes to mix traditional sushi ingredients with local stuff, and you do have great results.

But it's hard to beat a real traditional japanese food set. Even more when it's the real traditional local stuff, like the ones they serve on Onsens.

Blah! Ice cream noodles must taste horrible, sweet flavoures in combination with salt flavoures usualy end up in horror. Besides that I hate soft ice cream cones (they need to be crunchy), let alone ice cream cones that got soften in Ramen...Yuck! =_=

BTW I hardly eat Ramen, besides fake noodles in packages, Ramen is not so easy to get over here. =(
