While some didnt like the way the wings turned out, I think the wings look OK. Having said that, I'm personally not a fan of clear plastic as with the Zegapain kits.
Now I just need to think of what colors to paint my Destiny once it arrives.

Let's call it "Butterfly Gundam" XD A bit too colorful for my own taste (and even not the wings themselves but the Gundam). Not that bad-looking, really, when you look at it for a while. I may like it in the end. It must cost a fortune though.

Are the "butterfly" wings and the extra clear parts standard with the regular MG kit? Or are this a special release version or just a separate special parts kit? The Destiny is pretty cool, but not quite my kind of gundam, a bit too busy for me.

Awesome! I was a bit hesitant after seeing the 1st few close up pics of the kit. Didn't really look that detailed. But it's slowly growing on me. For me, in the right light that clear plastic can look pretty cool

Ah fine. Looks like October and November will be Gunplabuilding months^^ I got the Zaku II Ver2.0 to finish, the Hi-Nu will arrive soon and then this wonderful kit, yay^^ Hey Danny, what about your Wing Gundam?^^;;

I got it as soon as it became available, tho I must say that I am not impressed with the beam boomerang gimmick. still, at least I had some idea of what to expect. When I ordered the Strike freedom full burst, nobody knew what to expect as bandai just announced that it would be more expensive...

Looks pretty neat, but ultimatly I am turned off by the wings. What I mean by that is, I would not buy the kit because the wings are more suited for a butterfly rather than a gundam.

Destiny Gundam itself is growing on me as a whole. I remember when I first got into Gunpla the 1/144 HG Freedom was the very first kit I bought (amongst 1/100 Wing kits and 1/144 UC HG). That's all that was available around here aside from SD kits (this was when Gunpla was readily available at mass-market retail here in the US). I always thought Freedom was the goofiest looking one of the lot of them and I didn't like it. Was my least favorite without a doubt. However Freedom has come to be my favorite gundam of all, and destiny is chipping at my heart. I think it was the wings that originally made me not like it, but have become absolutely the coolest feature.

hmm....my eyes sick because the color,but wings of light looks good,but i still want to know about that wings of light's part.What kind of plastic that Bandai used for that wings of light? If the plastic same with the beam shield, i thing the price not that expensive, besides it looks easilly broken.After that,the boomerang effect and palm beam cannon look crap for me.The boomerang effect more likes SPIDERMAN to me.hehe..sorry for Destiny's fans.And the palm beam more like the stick than the BEAM!!!! I still likes STRIKE FREEDOM FB and STRIKE NOIR.

Kinda amazing how many of you guys here would pay that much extra to get clear plastic wings with a shiny sticker in between and a really non-realistic boomerang effect. SF:FB is much more worth it compared to DG:WoL. Then again, a normal SF is more worth it than SF:FB LOL.

Just got mine early this week. The wing parts are fabulous and the silver chromed parts are awesome. The forehead part actually shows the "X42S" imprinting. I also like the 1/20 clear figures of Shin and Kira. One of the throw-out type weapon design is kinda crappy though. Overall, I feel this kit is more worthy than SF full burst kit when disregarding the difference in popularity between the two MS.

I'm thinking of ordering this model. But I was thinking of getting Strike Freedom instead, but I already have Freedom, and they look almost the same. But I do think the fiery wings look pretty cool. Although it still doesn't look as cool as it is, in the anime, =(
