Just under 14 mins of video coverage taken at Chara Hobby 2007 Yesterday. The first half of the video is Gundam stuff - the latter half being everything else.

Headed straight for the Gundam stuff as soon as I got in. After I was done with Gundam, I looked around to notice that the event was extremely watered down compared to last year. Maybe its hard times for the toy industry? Figure fans would have found it boring as there was nothing new from the Wonder Festival last week.

Highlights of this clip are a 1/48 scale Mudrock Gundam, detailed footage of Claire from Claymore and a closer look at MG Destiny Gundam.
I'm off to the final day of the Summer Comiket now with a list full of wants - some taken from Windbell's post. The image below was taken at the last season.

I will get mine in Akihabara. Unlikely for it to sell out everywhere.

I heard a report the other day that toy sales in the U.S. have been dropping by a noticeable percentage every year as more and more traditional toys are being replaced by electronic media.

LOL, always funny to see those fans running like hell when the doors open. ^^
I like that Kallen mousepad with her two comfortable eyes. I need one of those! =)
Hey Danny, do you happen to know anything about that Ito Noizi figure? For instance, is it going to be released together with that PS2 game or will it come available seperately? And BTW, is there any news about an upcoming Mirai figure/nedoroid?

MG Destiny looks pretty cool so far. Must buy on my list are those HCM Pro's of Exia and Dynames on your video!

Some of those transformers look pretty cool too, like the one that transforms into a cellphone.

see beautiful stuff is always an eye candy for me lol.

Christ, that RX-78 is HUGE! It reminds me of those floats they have at festivals. Yknow, the ones of demons and samurai made with paper and backlit. What was that gundam made of?
That zaku/ scopedog (i dunno what it is!) is pretty huge too.

As for the question? Pictures are much more important to me. You can get the 'gist' of the coverage without waiting for video to buffer, theyre higher res, and they can be saved to my HD. For me, video footage is only really useful for things like cosplay coverage or shows.

MG Destiny! I hope the one with the red base isn't the Special Edition. I expected more.

I so want that Clare figure and those code geass mouse pads. ^^ And that judge figure from FFXII looks amazing.

As for the question, another thing why I prefer photos over videos is because I don't want to have to force myself to watch the entire clip when I only want to watch a certain part of the video. Like for this video, I had to watch the entire 3/4 of the video before I got to the figures part. I'm not a gundam fan so I would like to just see the figures section of the video. I don't want to skip because there might be figure coverage in between those gundam coverage. ^^

Great gundam stuff danny. With all this gundam stuff coming out I neither have the cash nor the room in my house to store it all in lol. I like the way you put together the video clip. It showed alot of stuff quickly. I really dont care for girly dolls or figures that much. Mainly the gundam stuff for me. Everything else looks ok but the gundam display seems to be the most prominent in the show room floor. and I beleive right now the toy industry as a whole is having some financial trouble but is maintaining the status quo for now.
