Next up is the new spanking Gundam 00 trailer that was previously released at the Gundam Expo. I was worried that the new series didn't have any moe girls but I spotted at least one - she also had big eyes ^^;
As you can see from the video, the quality of the animation looks pretty good.

According to Tokyo Hunter, its looks like they just moved most of the display material at the Gundam Expo and shipped it over to Chara Hobby. You can see what the Gundam Expo was like by having a look at Tokyo Hunter, XenoHawk and GFF Maniax's reports.
Sorry about the wobbly cam - I need to get a stand for that thing. Related: This coverage is being brought to you with Akihabaranews.com.

Character designs look a little dull, but the mech animation looks nice. Im surprised gundam hasnt embraced 3D celshaded graphics. It makes animating mechanical things much easier.
I could be wrong of course - i dont watch much gundam. Gundam wing put me off for life!

Exia rocks!! I wonder what kind of technology it has, since it can fly in atmosphere without any wings (who need em anyway?). Maybe some kind like V2's Minovsky Driver?

Production quality is impressive, battle animations look fluid. AndyH, gundam seed/seed destiny used cgi, I would still prefer traditional animation to cgi.

Oh, they move it there? I guess I can skip that part when I go to Chara Hobby tomorrow.

Btw, what's with the orb thing in the center which looks like the ultraman power orb.

I'll admit that I only saw the first half of Gundam SEED so I need more Gundam in my schedule but this looks great and is going on to my watch list.

Gundam 00??????? I feel a little Gundam F91 Nostalgia Coming along.... :( V for Vintage

Im looking 4ward to Gundam 00. hope fansubbers will smoke/take a load of narctoics & not slepp for 6months till theyve completed the subs...

Things in the 'Gundam' arena are starting to slow down :( guess using the same storyline about divided factions battling against each other in a civil war type situation really got milked like cheese.

some how Gundam needs to evolve a little more so people can carry on making them. but that could mean the end of gundam as we know it

Innovation doesn't necessary means oblivion, it just means its a new method of looking into things and I have to admit that the newer designs doesn't seem appealing at first, but it's slowly taking an appeal to most of the fans out there don't anyone agree?

well ap, I take it your just here for the Eroge & candy gurl sections :S I pitty you.

Sure Gundam wont be to everyones taste but just to come out & say that u never liked in the first place is pretty harsh lol. more then 6months ago this site would have only ever have Gundam stuff on show but since Danny has expanded & bracnched out alot to bring to us some of the crazy stuff in Japans culture that we cant get anywhere else leaves the door open to haters :(

I pitty you.

I pitty the fool who doesnt like Gundam

hmmm i will be looking forward to this one, i guess this means no more gundam seed :'( by the way danny you can get a very cheap and light "portable tripod" since you won't be using it for SLR or big video camera and want it for light weight. I have one that is for SLR and Big Video Camera, and trust me its no fun for long distance hicks LOL

oh no.... A mecha anime about a secret organization trying to stop war... At least it is better than Dancouga Nova, who made wars go longer by aiding the weak forces...

but yea, hoping that even thought the mecha design is meh, the story is good...

Well i have no experience with any Gundam related materials. I see its insanely popular, and wouldn't mind looking into it. Just never got around to it yet i guess. From the little research i did it seems it has many different series with some alternate timeline ideas?? Where should one start if they are interested in giving Gundam a try??

Emperor's Hand - most people start off with the Gundam Wing series but its pretty much up to you. best to start off with a series thats old but not too old if u get what I mean - even tho Gundam Wing was made in 96 its still good. thats how I started anyway. I spent 2years of collection wallpapers of Gundam & I never knew they were an actual anime series thing until I really looked into it. my excuse is that I never was allowed on the Net back then & the only time I could spend online was at school during the IT lessons.

Gundam Wing will give u a decent insite into what its all about

I think Gundam Wing is not the better to start with Gundam. I recommend Gundam Seed, or some ova like Gundam 0080 if you dont like too much mecha series.

Another Gundam series? Why not? Lolz~ but no matter how much I look at the Gundams in 00, I still prefer those from GSD somehow.. Especially Freedom Gundam xD
