Agreed~ Gundam Unicorn's design looks much better than the four Gundams in 00. For the Gunpla, the manipulators seem to be of MG style, wondering if that will be the format for this guy. Plus, will he be convertible to the 'V-fin' mode? I'm most certainly looking forward to that ^^
It is unfortunate that I am going to watch Gundam 00 just because it's Gundam... (at times, I wonder if gundam is a good mecha series...) But yea, I am a Gunpla maker, and it looks interesting enough that I would consider buying it...
This is quite a refreshing sight. At least it's no like the common V shape horns the usual gundams have.
Hmm... That horn reminds me of Evangelion unit 01 somewhat. The body looks very similar to every other gundam... Sorry - im not a huge gundam fan - they all start to look the same to me ;^_^
Gotta love Katoki Hajime's design...but no shifting armor to transform into the true form, eh? Well, I guess it's back to Bandai's winning formula, variation kits based on similar design...~ I also sense the GFF version is just on the horizon...

Got to appreciate Hajime's design. I think Bandai really should make it as a MG. But it will be even great if Bandai would put into the kit the ability to change itself into its true from. I personally wants Bandai to make the NZ-666 Kshatriya into a MG. Now that is one badass mobile suit since Sazabi.

Gundam Unicorn is pretty "meh" to me. I don't particularly hate it, but I don't think it's impressive either. IMHO Katoki has done better (the ART-1 from SRW OG Original Generations blows this out of the water if we're gonna go with his most recent stuff). I definitely prefer the Gundam 00 designs over this one (especially Kyrios...the fighter mode freakin rocks). If this thing gets a MG before something from Victory Gundam or Gundam X, I'll be pretty disappointed.

this isnt all that impresive. and the gundamn charater is kind of lost, though i get why it only has one horn, and why its calle unicorn.
Weird enough, Unicorn Gundam seems nice enough even without shifting armor, but if there's no shifting armor to show its Gundam form, it just defeats the purpose aye?
No offense to anyone whos a fan of this gundam, but to me, this just looks like a ordinary mk-II with a metal rod sticking out of its head O_o , probably look a bit better if it had color, gundams these days kind of getting a bit too repeative, the mechs from gundam 00 looks like the once in seed/destiny. Thats just my opinion
That prototype looks nice! But if indeed it has no "Destroy mode", then may see a MG normal version and the MG special edition would be the transformed one... Boy, cashcow for Bandai again...
Kinda liking it or not liking it cuz it looks plain. Might reconsider it if they painted it even though it's a prototype.

Good that they've ditched the transformable suit idea from Zeta Gundam, or the ultrabulky (but still cool) overkill of Gundam Sentinel. Mobile Suits of later centuries should be more slender and more practical. Looking forward to Gundam Unicorn. Lets hope they'll have a HGUC version of that.
While looking at the picture. I spotted the hand is kinda like MG model. So are they releasing the MG?

Ever since the designs came out, I've been hoping for some kind of figure/model for the main Gundam. This is awesome!! Can't wait for it to come out.

Danny, I think the inconsistency has to do with the same thing as Gundam Wing.. or Wing Gundam depending if you are talking about the series or the Gundam itself. I guess this is the standard thing to do if you name the series after the main Mobile suit. Ive read up a little on this, it seems to be an interesting series. It has a lot of similar designs for the support mobile suits to items that exist in other series. Like the D50-c Guntank (similar to the one in F91 Gundam). The color in the series seems to be mostly white.. so Im not sure how interesting this one is going to look out of the box.
Novel, I wonder when it'll get a english translation? The prototype looks promising. Almost caught me off guard that its a MG haha. I tend to look at the hands. But I guess I gotta' change the way I see MGs and norm.1/100's. It also reminds me of Evangelion Eva 01 some reason. :]
I thought Unicorn was supposed to be considerably larger than previous gundams. Danny, how tall was that kit? Also, that build looks like it won't be able to go into "destroy" mode where it basically opens up a lot of armour parts and looks more like a traditional gundam. The unicorn horn also splits into 2 to make the traditional V fin.
I see how half the overall seems to point at the general direction of how it doesn't looks "Gundam-ish" to you all, without the V-fin and no color, but have you guys really seen the detroy mode yet? If Gundam Unicorn will be released as a Master Grade and can transform into it's Destroy Mode, it will make a heck of a behemoth! Too impressive and way too cool to describe. Can't wait to have this one if this would be the case. How I wish that this would be the outcome. ^-^ However, if this baby would be released in Master Grade but can't transform into Destroy Mode, well... that would be toooooo baaaaad! I'll have second thoughts buying it if this would be the case. ^-^;; Naahhh... this is the Main Character of it's own series so I would probably gonna buy it anyway to be added in my collection.

You guys were wrong. Recent promotional information which I accessed from Gunota shows that this kit is transformable. Either that, or Bandai are releasing two separate models.
