You didn't see any coverage of the Gundam Expo 2007 here because I was planning to go to Chara Hobby anyway and knew from last years event that they have a ton of Gundam stuff. Leaving for Makuhari Messe within the next hour.

For those who dont know, Chara Hobby is probably the biggest toy event of the year. While Wonfes is the figure event, Chara Hobby could be considered as the Gundam event of the year. Theres even going to be an eleven meter tall RX78 in the hall. Hobby Japan and Dengeki Hobby also have booths too. There are also Gunpla crash courses. Expect an onslaught of Gundam and mecha action starting tonight. You will need to prepare tissues and spare underpants and maybe a shovel depending on how much you soil your pants. You can get a feel of what will be in store for you by having a gander at last years coverage.

Speaking of events, I have revamped the events page so that you can actually find stuff in it. Its sorted by event and below each event title you can filter by season/year. If you are stuck in the office and feel like a virtual trip to an otaku event then you know where to look. The layout should also help new readers discover previous event coverage easily. The events link is available in the new header. And if you are a new reader - welcome!
I will also be going to Comiket this Sunday so you naughty 2D ero fans will also have to prepare tissues - and not just for nosebleeds ^^; You may want to get some Tenga so you dont have to waste so many tissues. Have a look at last seasons coverage in the meantime.
Above: Azamiyuko Sensei will also be there this Sunday. For those who dont know yet, shes the manga artist who draws Mirai-chan. Sensei will be at "East 4 Hall, MO-01B"(東4 モ-01b) under "mariendistel." She will have her new title "Alice's closet 2007 summer" up for grabs.
Above: Member Yoshimu-san will also be at the Comiket this Sunday at East 2 Hall, Z-19B (東2 Z-19b) under "GRAPHICAROSSA." He will have his new title "Shining Beach" waiting for you - its rather ero as you can see ^^;
Above: One of my fave artists Sasaki Tamaru will be at East 2 Hall A-47A (東2 2A-47a) with his goodies up for grabs too. Hunting the Elusive also has a good selection of other artists to look out for.

Would love to see pictures & stuff about Comike! Want to go there myself one day as well ;p But the winter edition is kinda difficult as it's really almost the last 2 days of December.

I don't really remember since when I started reading your blog. It must be at least since January/February (certainly between my 2 trips to Japan,Nov&May). I think I quite quickly started posting comments though :) Haven't lurked that much ;p
It's always great you have so many (good) pictures (& sometimes video).
Hope to meet you someday when I'm in Tokyo again.

About your poll question: I lurked for about two months(sorry) then I signed up in January. Besides the Gundam posts the living in Japan posts are also one of my favs.

I certainly prefer photos more over videos. But of course it'd be nice to see a video once in a while. ^^ Most of the time I watch videos just once and forget about it afterwards. Photos on the otherhand, are the exact opposite. :D So yeah, definitely photos.

Been a reader for two months+ though, but i think I stumble into your website when I was still a bit new to this but didn't really much care.

One question though, does the event Comiket only sells eroge? Oh and I have the ratio of photos to video, 5:3.

I've been on your site for almost 3/4s of a year now. The entry that got me on here was the Stormtrooper at the Wii launch that got pretty high onto Digg.com. I don't think I've had my account that long though, maybe a few months. Your blog is actually the only blog I don't read through a RSS feed and actually come onto the site almost daily to see any updates.
