Tulip Festival - Japan Pavilion

First off I would put this under Misc or etc but there wasn't a tab so I fit it under Japan (as in Japanese Culture :P). Well don't know if anybody cares but was at a Tulip Festival and managed to talk to a few Japanese people. Well not tourists but those helping from the embassy to show off culture from other nations but sadly it wasn't big enough :(. I stayed in that one tent longer then any others playing mini games that you would find in Japanese festivals and even pleasing people. I also asked people if they knew of Dannychoo and I gave one person the link to see this place :P. On the fishy game I beat or caught up swiftly getting larger numbers or catching them. That's correct; at this new Maid Cafe in the Otaku shopping district of Akihabara you can dub a scene in an anime. If there are not enough people to play the roles, the maids help you out and just before you leave you receive your own copy of your work. More info on it here at my blog .

Natto is a traditional Japanese food made from fermented Soybeans - read up on it at Wikipedia if you have not come across it. The smell is incredible and I still have not acquired the taste for it. Many Japanese people cant eat it too. Have you tried or come across Natto? The maki sushi with the poo like substance is Natto - me wife loves it ^^;

I'm sure some of you have heard about ones life expectancy in Japan. I've heard the average is 80 years old. Thats the AVERAGE people, and America's life expectancy TOPS at the ages of 60 and 70's. So the catalyst of this topic, why is there such a huge age expectancy gap between these two countries? Now, I have no solid concrete evidence to support this nor do I think there is such evidence, but on a technical level, there are major differences that I think anyone could think of. Take for example; rice Of course, rice is eaten world wide, and not just Asian descendants, but Japan specifically, rice is a main dish, or should I say the "prime" of all foods and if you are of Korean/Chinese/Japanese descent (forgive my ignorance), you will know what I am talking about. Compared to bread, wheats, and pasta's, white or brown or purple rice (yes, purple) are the lowest in calories and highest on carbohydrates. That right there is a positive health factor, a given. But lets take a look deeper in the city of Okinawa, Japan. Although, as each and every generation comes and goes, we all forget some simple and healthy improvements that we need in our lives. But the main point (sort of), there might be some sort of breakthrough technology in anime or gundam models where we will never be able to touch or see. Me personally, want to live long enough to taste that.

A Japanese company sells a special type of snack: the musical cookies. According to the company, they play Bach's music the whole time when making these cookies. They also state that Bach's music is good for both humans and cookies. The price is special, too: it's 6 USD for 300 grams of these cookies - make you wonder if you have to let your wallet listen to classical music to make it grows. Any takers?
