Ive finally decided to work on this kit and this is what Ive accomplished in 4 days. For the most part, every piece is being sanded down and will be put together for a test fit. I'll be using the max technique for this models paint job. The model will be finished in about a month...give or take. Pictures will be posted, no doubt.

SD MG RX-78-2

Bandai finally released a MG RX-78-2 in SD form with open panel feature! ahahaha.... just kidding. It's actually the old BB#200 SD RX-78-2 Gundam that has the MG gimmick xD. Finished it just now and like to share :) Bandai haven't been focusing on SD Gundams recent years though..what's with all their R&D going into MGs... makes me kinda sad. It's nice to be able to put something so cute together quickly and just play around with it for awhile ^_^. Do you collect SD Gundams?

Manga for Wii

I found this on New York Times "Four of Japan's biggest comic book or 'manga' publishers are coming together to bring digital versions of their magazines to Nintendo's Wii console. The companies, Kadokawa, Kodansha, Shueisha and Shogakukan, have formed a joint venture with a local software house that aims to be the first to bring digital comics to the hit console. The venture, called Librica, was formed in July and will deliver comics through the Wii Ware software channel to users. An Internet connection will be required to use the service." News even report of possible communication with DS as well. Sounds like a pretty cool feature. Would you buy manga over WiiWare? Then view it on your DS on the road? I tell you, it seems like each passing day that technology doubles!

We caught up with producer-extraordinaire Erwin Stoff at the NBC TCAs where he was promoting his upcoming updated-David-and-Goliath-based show KINGS. When asked about other projects he is currently working on, Stoff, let slip some very juicy news about a very beloved anime franchise. “I’m developing COWBOY BEBOP for Fox, but doing it as a live-action film, so I’m working on that at the moment,” Stoff tells iF. “I’m really excited to be working on it, and it’s in the really early stages. We just signed it the other day.” “I have such an enormous admiration for its creators, that our first and foremost concern is going to be a real degree of faithfulness to the tone of the movie, to the mix of genres, and so on and so forth,” he says. “When I met with them in Japan, one of the first things that I brought up was the experience that we had on A SCANNER DARKLY, and how hard we worked to remain faithful to Philip K. Dick, and that was our big concern here.”

I get the feeling that more anime-to-hollywood tie ups are to come. Would be interesting to see one for Gundam or Macross done by the Transformers guy. For those who have not seen Cowboy Bebop then make efforts to see it - its quite brilliant - OP here. Image via Moe Imouto.

Samurai Gurren Lagann

Another day to play with my figures because it's a boring day, now I picked Revoltech Gurren Lagann as my toy. Gives him katana and... Tada! The result is the picture. I think the katana matches with Gurren Lagann very well because Gurren Lagann looks like an armored samurai. This pic also reminds me of Kamina using his very looooong katana(See 4:40 - 4:48) to fight against Viral in Ep. 3(3:36):

These are bookcases 1 & 2. I'm going to do a photo shoot of my whole room later for my blog and link it when I post a picture of Bookcases 3 & 4. Been collecting manga for about 10 years now, so I have over 800. Thats about half of my manga collection in that photo but most of my figures. Ah...when I say 10 years I bet you all imagined me as an old lady huh? I was in middle school when I started collecting manga and elementary school when I started watching anime.
