oh the crappy moment when u see ur backup HD dead...such thing just happened to me yesterday... as for backups I recommend several formats: DVDs, [ blue rays if are available ], a dedicated HD [ which someday will fail as well =( ] and an online solution. I discovered some place who offers 5 GBs to upload any kind of file, and 25 GBs for vid, pic, and audio files.
