Pretty obvious but I'm a huge anime/manga/Japanese culture fan. I actually am half Japanese and Hawaii is greatly influenced by Japan so I've also been influenced my whole life. I love collecting figures and would really like to meet more people with similar interests. I've been visiting DannyChoo for a long time now but never really took the time to register. While Koto's one is tempting (love dynamic poses) I have to stick with my MF one. The pose is a nice offset to all my dynamic posed figures. It's very serene, paint job and casting are stellar and it just pulls off the simplistic beauty like no other figure can. But yeah for the price and pose Koto's one is hard to resist. ( コメントを見る » )
HLJ is the cheapest and most reliable for me. I live in Hawaii and US based stores tend to overcharge for shipping to here so even with combined shipping it's still more expensive than HLJ (also depends on what the USD to yen rate is at the time and excludes some Koto stuff that get a US release). While I don't display cast-off I don't mind seeing some in cast-off. I just don't like displaying cast-off because it makes me feel like I paid for extra stuff I'm not going to use or display it in. Same with nendos and figma, I like to keep as much accessories as they can hold or be displayed with on them. Oh and sometimes I like semi-cast-off (for example the Shuraki figs in battle damage clothes). ( コメントを見る » )
I wouldn't say an airbrush is necessary, but definitely helpful. You can create almost similar effects hand painting but it takes a lot more time and effort to do so. I would recommend those starting out to try hand painting first then if they enjoy it put their money into getting an airbrush. ( コメントを見る » )
Actually my packages usually come without much damage. I mean a few times there were some dents but nothing as major as in that picture. Sometimes I'm surprised because I've ordered a few pre-painted resin figures and saw comments on how the same figures were damaged in transit, but mine arrive in perfect condition. ( コメントを見る » )
My top choice would be anyone from Angel Sanctuary (especially Alexiel and Belial) or actually I would be happy with anyone from any Kaori Yuki manga.
Would also love to see nice figures of Muraki (Yami no Matsuei), D (Pet Shop of Horrors), Ryuichi (Gravitation), Ayame (Fruits Basket), Okoi (Basilisk), Larva & Miyu (Kyuuketsuki Miyu), Hibari (KHReborn!) and-- the list could go on forever so I better stop it here lol. ( コメントを見る » )
