I'm a highschool student, and since my school doesn't offer Japanese, I'm taking German, but I'm attempting to learn Japanese from books and, so far, it hasn't impacted my German grades xD I hope to visit Japan one day possibly after Highschool or College and live there for a year or two. I have started saving up money now in a saving's account and everything. I think I'm doing fairly well for a kid xD I'm the typical otaku, and I love figurines. Revoltech and Nendoroids are my favorite kind of figurines, because of all the interchangeable parts. I'm pretty funny if you get to know me, but tend to sound like I'm boring in descriptions of me.

Otaku Parents

My grandma found One Piece (dub) a bit enjoyable. I forced her to watch it because I wanted to check out a certain episode while it was on TV, and she thought it was pretty silly, and I've caught her watching it a few times, but she doesn't get too into the story, mostly just the comedy and action I'm guessing, she also liked Spirited Away. Sorta adding to myself, I'm pretty sure my parents know (they fund the figurines and conventions) but I doubt they know how far in I am either. I'm sorta think I'm being forced to head the anime club because everyone who doesn't know me a well as my closer friends seems to think I'm "That guy who knows everything about anime", which is flattering and all but I honestly don't want to do it. My school bag has some Gurren Lagann pins (The bag itself is Samurai Champloo) and I talk about conventions a lot with friends that go, but most people seem to just think I like anime a lot. Honestly, if they asked, I would tell them, so I wouldn't consider myself a closet otaku, as a matter of fact, it's sorta weird that they don't notice how much of one I am, they even know I cosplay and collect figures. Well, other than fanservice, wearing pantsu makes SOME sense. They wouldn't be wearing pants, because I'm pretty sure in the 30s it was expected of all women to wear dresses and skirts all the time. The other thing is, they're on base, so they have to be prepared all the time for an attack. Having to take a skirt off AND THEN hop into your leg planes would take too much time, especially for the self conscious girls who have to return to their rooms to change. I wouldn't have ignored her because I'd feel bad, but it honestly makes sense. Aya and many other popular girl's fanbase would drop if they got a boyfriend. I certainly wouldn't stop being a fan, but I will admit that there's just a certain "appeal" that they would lose even though most everyone knows they'd never have a chance with said idol/girl, they would just lose that "appeal" of not having a boyfriend. Y-Y-YOKO NENDOROID? Yep, that's definitely on my "To Buy" list. I think I might wait, you know, since there might be a Kamina Nendoroid (I REALLY want to see Lord Genome Nendoroid-ized). I'm ordering my Konata Figma Saturday and I plan on getting either Tsukasa or Kagami with it. In terms of what I prefer, it depends on the overall figurine. I prefer Figma, but only if they have clothes on where the joints would be (Skin makes the joints look ugly, in turn making them look muscley), and for Nendoroids, well that just depends...
