heh heh "few"? spoken like a true San Franciscan. LA actually has quite a lot going for it (I've lived in both, and though I admit that SF is very nice, I've found that both are easy to love). ( コメントを見る » )

That closed off pedestrian street is the 3rd Street promenade in downtown Santa Monica. I live on that street (literally a block north of all of that stuff). The downtown Santa Monica area is really great. Tons of stuff within walking distance. Plus the weather in Santa Monica is usually really nice (ex: even when it is super hot inland, SM is still pretty breezy and comfy). You should let me know the next time you're in town. If I'm not too busy (a rarity for someone in the video game biz) I'd be happy to meet up. ( コメントを見る » )

I forgot my wedding ring at the Japanese Consulate here in Los Angeles (you can imagine how freaked out I was). I was certain it was lost forever, but once my wife (far more level headed than I), deduced that I must have left it at the consulate, I called them up and sure enough they had it and were holding it for me. So... not sure if that counts as having lost my ring in the US... or "Japan". ^_~ ( コメントを見る » )

It's "We Survive" by KOTOKO. It's the op for V.G. Neo, and also can be found in the album "Collective". So there you have it. Now you know. ( コメントを見る » )

Just wanted to point out that LCD's being immune to burn-in is something of a myth. I've seen burn-in on LCD's twice so far. 1: When I worked at Electronic Arts I noticed that the LCD's in the lobby (that are usually on the menu screen of one game or another, retained burn-in of the menu screen when I went to play the game. 2: I was using a neat analog flip clock screen saver for a while, on my Dell LCD at home. I stopped using it when I noticed that the screen saver was leaving an afterimage of itself after I retu... ( コメントを見る » )
