What shrine or temple is this btw? Its so empty. during New Years Eve I went to Zojoji temple. I arrived like 1.5 hours earlier and it was easy to move about. About an hour before midnight, it was completely packed. everyone counts down and 3000 balloons were released into the air at midnight. Then Tokyo Tower changes colours. My holidays is 3.5months long. ( View formatted comment » )

McDonalds here is VERY different to the ones in Australia. I think the service here in Japan is so much better. I've seen people sleeping, studying, or just sitting and playing their DS. In Australia, people just eat then go. ( View formatted comment » )

Soo many figures, nice loot btw. so how did you bring them all back? All I have so far is 3 figures, 40 or so doujinshi and some books lol. Thats all I can fit in my luggage atm. Plus I bought some bulky clothes which takes up the rest of my free space. I wasn't prepared for C75 at all, didnt even buy the heavy catalog. ( View formatted comment » )

In the area I'm staying at, Minami Senjuu. There are like 5 buses full of police patrolling as soon as it gets dark. They've been doing this for over a week already. Not sure what they're doing though... But with that amount of police, it must be to control some mobs. ( View formatted comment » )

I'm sure a lot of people bought it just so they can add the rice bag to their collection, some probably hang it on their walls. It sure beats paper posters. ( View formatted comment » )

I'm spending a lot less for sure... I'm currently in Osaka, japan... Arrived 2 nights ago. Going to Kyoto tomorrow. Originally my budget for food was 3000yen a day, but I managed to cut that down to under 2000yen. Haven't even bought myself anything yet.. lol I'm probably saving up for when I get to Tokyo, which is in like 6 days time. Really looking forward to going to Tokyo! I might write a little about my trip so far in a few minutes. ( View formatted comment » )

lol I love sarsi, my grandparents used to always buy it. Haven't had it in a long time though... Plenty of Chinese Restaurants around here... there's no easy way to tell whether the food is good or not, just have to go in and try for yourself. Some of the food is delicious and cheap while some others are more expensive and tastes bad. Will be going to Yokohama during my trip and visit Chinatown. ( View formatted comment » )

We used to decorate our house and set up a tree... Haven't done that in over 5 years already. We still spend Christmas with relatives. Usually have a big family BBQ at someone's house. ( View formatted comment » )

That's about $5000 Aussie dollar back when you went, when the exchange rate was high.... For me ~_~ with the current crappy exchange rate, I exchanged $4000 AUD, now = 250,000Yen... I regret not doing it 4 months earlier.... ( View formatted comment » )

Only for important stuff I will use different username and passwords. But when it comes to like registering for websites to gain access to stuff I will use the same username and password. Just to make things easier if I ever need to re-visit that site again. ( View formatted comment » )

The ones i use are already listed above, Gendou is the best place for anime music. For songs like vocaloid I use piapro... If it's not there then I'll use Nicosound. For other songs, maybe just search for torrents for the soundtrack and select the individual song you want. Just use google and type in the the name of the song and at the end add "torrent".
