Congrats! Danny. Been to the site earlier on at work and after a couple off randomness I found that the only thing that been on my mind is the image popup plugin. Personally I would go for no animation at all then the slow zoom animation and closing each popup to view the next one is slow. ^^ gasp.. got to say it LOL. Too bad there isn't that many jQuery image gallery (yet!) compare to the other JS libraries like prototype. I found some jQuery plugins that are rather interesting: GALLERIA (Image gallery) ( View formatted comment » )

Wow, nice to see the world is starting too see that figures are not just girls toys. My parents always said "your brother started to collect a lot of girls dolls" LOL ^^. Love also to see that other japanese companies are taking the global market more serious now, not just game companies ^^ ( View formatted comment » )

Orz... sorry about the bad take on Shirley face, didn't noticed it. My flash reflected the light off the slightly glossy face. They both look good on the show, I still like Kallen paint job a bit better. Here is another shot of Shirley which includes her cast to make up ^^ <a href=" http://www.flickr.com/photos/xenohawk/28150332... ( View formatted comment » )

I was kind of turn off from the first few minutes of the first episodes as it looks like another bunch of wacky early teen girls fanservice show. Will wait to see if the story trumps over it. ( View formatted comment » )

Hope you get well soon Danny, you deserved a good rest for all you have done. Before I came to Japan, and due to tropical country I always fall sick now and then but I have not been terribly ill since I came to Japan. The only worst I had was a flu from season changing or what not. ( View formatted comment » )

For this anime season, I think Sekirei is on my top viewing list. I never really liked ecchi anime before but this one is the few that actually has a good plot. So good I can't wait for the anime and went ahead with the manga (>_<). The manga is definately not for those with nosebleeds he he. I find Tsukiumi funny as she does have some cute side and really funny when she is bullied around even though she is a bit tsundere. ( View formatted comment » )

I want Saber Figma Lily so bad, but not enough for the game (>_<). If only those joints were a little bit more hidden. Hmm, maybe a shoulder armor plate? ( View formatted comment » )

Wow, I didn't expect that many people were on that escalator at the same time. I think that is the ambulance/rescue (it was red, probably rescue) I heard when I was going in, I thought someone must have fainted from the heat or something. ( View formatted comment » )

Yeah, I always get into the zone as well when I go into coding frenzy. This is bad cause I have to even battle my way out to toilet or lunch. I only stop when I reach a milestone or hit a bug. lol Awesome pictures Danny, did you bring your tripod out everytime now? Someone need to invent a weightless and compact "full" tripod (not gorilla pod) (x_x) ( View formatted comment » )

Very well written post Danny! Thanks! I couldn't agree with you more on the "unseen obstacles", if I have now made that decision about a single working opportunity in Japan I wouldn't be even here. I have always dream of coming to Japan but yet afraid about those "unseen obstacles", somehow I managed to get over it :D and I'm glad I did it back then. Thanks again ^^ (P.S Danny, the "Post Comment" link seems to erase the textbox comments when you accidentally clicked on them... ( View formatted comment » )

Cool pictures Danny :) As most people have mention, investing in a lens is good since you can use it as long the mount is still the same. For me, choosing a new lens is more difficult then a new DSLR because there are not many in-depth reviews for them. It is hard to test on-the-spot since there are many tiny detail that you might missed when you checked it the first time. If you are getting a new lens, try to get one where the focusing ring it not on the lens ring (outer ring). I know most of the kit lens are like this. This... ( View formatted comment » )
