Shanghai is not a Chinese city - it was built as a western port less than 200 years ago hence it has no local Chinese flavour of its own - perse.

I am really old school and never really got into the whole mobile phone thing. Even now with an Iphone I still just text clients, call clients, and receive calls. Makes my wonder why I am paying an arm and leg for the phone itself >< .

I think the divide here would be a east versus west mentality - in Japan and even China very rarely do public facilities see private use without permission. Its akin to how in Japan there are rare is ever graffiti where as its prevalent in the west. Saying that a socket in public use is like saying an unattended public wall noone cares about is asking for some art. ( View formatted comment » )
