I did not waste anytime and pre-ordered her right away. I like how you can replace her right hand with a knife. Kawaii! ( View formatted comment » )

I have a special place in my heart for Nodame because I attended a college for music. Surprisingly, Nodame is a good representation of what actually happens at this type of school, for example some musicians have a bad attitude, preparing for competitions, and orchestras rebelling against a conductor. I haven't ran into a gay timpani player though. The Paris series is on my watch list! ( View formatted comment » )

I completely agree! Why sub the entire lucky star ova and leave out lucky channel? Seems like a waste. ( View formatted comment » )

I like Kyoko from Black Cat, but the figure design doesn't perk my interest. I think it is funny how Kentaro Yabuki plagiarizes himself between Black Cat and To Love-ru (he's worked on both). Kyoko Kirisaki in Black Cat is also Magical Girl Kyoko in TRL. Same thing with Eve vs Golden Darkness. ( View formatted comment » )

One really tough game released recently was Odin Sphere for PS2. What made the game hard/frustrating were the boss battles. The game suffered from serious slowdown problems when a lot of objects were on the screen. Also, the amount of damage you could deal to bosses was minimal. A successful boss defeat could take up to 30 minutes. Meanwhile you've already spent 1.5 hours with numerous failed attempts. Great game though! ( View formatted comment » )

I have no problems what so ever with the amount of figure coverage. I do not consider myself a hard core collector of figures either (I only own one). I generally read most of the articles presented on the site (submitted by Danny), but prefer the ones relating to Japan. I tend to quickly skim through most of the member's submitted sections with little or no reading, unless I see a quality post. ( View formatted comment » )

I hate when ranters begin their arguments with, "in the good old days." "In the good old days of fansubbing we had to get our raws from Bubba down the street in return for sexual favors. It took 18 hours to sub one episode on a Commodore 64 using command line with no mouse, and our keyboard was missing the 'E' key!" Otaking's arguments were all based on personal preference. I am on the side on modern fansubbers. I feel they are doing a service to the anime community by providing free episodes for everyone... ( View formatted comment » )

The amount of good anime airing now is crazy. In the past 3 weeks I've started to watch Koihime Musou, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu, Sekirei, and Zero no Tsukaima - Princess no Rondo. These were all recommendations from dannychoo members. Each show is equally good and I have no desire to drop one. These ongoing series are in addition to the back catalog of older anime I am trying to get through. ( View formatted comment » )

Although its impossible to choose I would go with Sakagami Tomoyo from Clannad. I love her gang past and ability to kick serious butt. I enjoyed the episodes where she takes care of Tomoya. Would love for her to take care of me. Lastly, she has that great bear costume (Pedobear on the loose!) ( View formatted comment » )

This is funny, I almost posted a similar news item about Golden Darkness appearing in To Love-ru. Aiko-chan I am glad you took the initiative. It seems like there are a lot of Yami-chan fans out there. I have to rely on fansubs to catch the show. Right at the end of the show's opening credits the Chihiro fansub group plainly states that Golden Darkness was the only reason they subbed the show. Ha! :) Overall this was a great show. Well worth the wait. ( View formatted comment » )

I agree. It seems the anime only features special characters once. What happened to Kotegawa Yui? I wish Yami-chan will show up more however. ( View formatted comment » )

I agree, however wearing a skin tight dress just reveals too much information. There are better clothes choices out there. ( View formatted comment » )
