The reason people can afford to throw out so much manga is because others are doing ti too! Every year, people would just browse the neighborhood and see which manga series they wanted are available for "pickup". This is almost like communism!! ( View formatted comment » )

I think the problem with rating things like Gundam shows is that, you really don't have a choice. Think about it, the best would always be teh original since without it, you wouldn't have any other shows to even start comparing with. If we don't take that into account with however, then my choice would probably still be the first Gundam since it set the tone for many more Gundam series and other mecha anime's to come. Here in the Vancouver region of Canada, the weather changes so quickly, no one would even bother to listen the weather report... For example if the weather man/women say that its going to be sunny tomorrow, there is a 70% chance that rain is going to be pouring don on you when you step out of your door to go to school... Hey Sector6, the name Psycho Gundam is derived form the Gundam's original codename, the "Syco Gundam", in which case, the Syco stands for psychique-communication. I've gotta give it to the creators for the ingenuity of the transformation sequences, but that is preety much the only thing I appreciate about Transformers... For me, 18 meters robots should and always will be nothing more than a weapon. Robot shows shouldn't have robots as main characters, unless you are Kou Uraki from gundam 0083, and are much too mentally challenged to get any attention. Then your robot can be the main character of the show. ( View formatted comment » )
