These types of stories are inspirational for me because I'm at the bottom of the barrel. I never truly enjoyed my childhood and things never really went as they should have and the same could be said for my adulthood. I can't remember the last time I made a friend, had a college course I actually liked, parents being supportive, siblings supporting me, none of that. I even had a few suicidal streaks the last 10 years and it is enlightening to hear of people getting jobs, learning stuff they like, getting a girlfriend, etc. ( View formatted comment » )

I know this will sound rather crazy, but would wearing one be considered homosexual for a straight guy? Because I think it'll be fun to wear one for fun. Like in a fun cosplay event. ( View formatted comment » )

Yeah, but you can say that about any article of clothing ever. ( View formatted comment » )

I would normally say where I live in the suburbs is safe, but I can't. Just months ago, I had to fend off against a daytime house invader/robber with my kitchen knives. I'm feeling pretty lonely, scared and paranoid ever since. And thanks to that, I definitely want to hurt any robber who tries that again, even if it means offing them. ( View formatted comment » )

I would say 00, but that show is only on its halfway point and every little revelation was amazing and fun to watch. Same goes for Geass too, though in a more spectacular political fashion. Macross is the most straightforward of them all, but it still is one of my favorites too. You can't really fault the three mecha shows in their own right. I think they are all awesome. Wow. More than 50% have been there? Are you guys rich or what? I wish I can travel but it's prohibitively expensive. The budget-hit would literally kill me. ( View formatted comment » )

I HATE smoking. Hate the smell, hate the taste from second hand smoking, hate the headaches I get, hate the nosebleed from my body reacting to it, hate the posers who smoke it to look cool or fooling themselves into thinking it actually can calm you down physically. HATE smoking. ( View formatted comment » )

As for any traumatic injuries/accidents, I came close to death by jellyfish attack when I was young and also by a major asthma attack. Had to be hospitalized for both like in some drama. As for the whole 'why do they bother others?' thing, I think you guys are missing the point. Suicides in public are basically a cry for help whether they think that or whether it's subconscious. I had suicidal episodes in my life too and I don't think people commit suicides to not be noticed and forgotten. If you could be stopped, you ... ( View formatted comment » )

I want the Indiana Jones ones and the Master Chief. Ironic how the best Japanese figurines IMO are western designs. ( View formatted comment » )

Danny, Potemayo truly is awesome. Granted, it's not for everyone but its minimalistic and cutting comedy is just so unique. I REALLY want to buy that Potemayo plushie. The best one of the lot IMO. ( View formatted comment » )

I have to disagree a bit here Danny. I know a lot of girls (actually, almost all my childhood friends were girls) and I remember some of them wearing school uniforms with short skirt in the winter. They compensate. They don't just sit back and just let their skin be exposed. Some do, but not all. There's the long stockings, supposedly very comfortable in the cold barring gusts of cold wind and there are long leg warmers, tight pants, etc. ( View formatted comment » )

Unfortunately, my family is not big on gifts or souvenirs. I would not expect to return the favor too. I might buy a few traditional items, but nobody would respect my buying choices when I do. So I typically buy them for myself. No need to worry about not-work-safe items! ( View formatted comment » )

I can definitely say that the 360 is the premium online platform for me, even a bit over my PC nowadays. Like some have said, that's what happens when your entire platform is based on going online. Though the wireless router for the 360 was pretty expensive.. ( View formatted comment » )

Japanese gamers are hopelessly backwards in terms on online gaming. Everybody else in the world is going online, Japan is going back offline. Such a shame. To think that Japan is thinking BACKWARDS in terms of gaming. ( View formatted comment » )

I liked T3 though it did veer off a bit from the first two movies. I thought Terminator TV show was great fun too. Definitely good fill-in for Heroes. ( View formatted comment » )

I used to be bone skinny, then close to 300 pounds and now I'm back to a very fit 200 pounds. I used to have eating problems and lack of exercise problems, but not anymore. I had asthma (and still do) but I can do intense exercise as long as I am in a clean place (like a gym compared to smog filled road-side areas). My back tends to give out like I'm an elderly person though. That and a few painful joints at rare times. Other than that, I can mostly say that would qualify me as not living with ailments. Hard, painful exerc... ( View formatted comment » )

What an oversized piece of crap, pardon my expression. I mean, it doesn't even have the requisite DVD slots or even the HD-DVD/Bluray of the most modern PC laptops, and 1.8GHZ is just laughable. I love their OS's, I hate everything else about it. And they can stop with the silly, 'trendy' approach of marketing except it works for them too well. ( View formatted comment » )
