I've got another pic at flickr.com/photos/goufyshumi. I've been playing with some different poses, but for some reason, this was the one I liked the most. ( View formatted comment » )

Radio Kaikan is definitely recommended. Of course, I have to say that, my friends at Volks occupy two floors there. The lower floor is their regular retail stuff. The upper floor is pretty cool, too. It's where the Otaku closets are. Where they take Gashapons and model kits, and mod/paint them. Some very creative stuff. I pretty much spent all my vacation cash there ^^;; ( View formatted comment » )

His autograph is among my most prized possessions! I'd love to see that exhibition in person! ( View formatted comment » )

The owners of Volks are great friends of mine. In fact they are coming to visit this weekend. They make a great selection of Super Robot Wars and Five Star Story kits as well. Have you been to the Volks in Akiba Danny? They have a pretty good selection. But you must Visit Tenshi no Sato, in Kyoto, it is a beautiful place to see all the sorts of Dollfies! I favorite drinks while in Japan were Pocari Sweat and Aquarius. They were quite tasty. Supposedly they recharged my "ions" or something. I will say that I downed quite a few while there, and never seemed to run out of steam. I have my friends bring back the powdered version. So I at least get to have some every so often. Kinda funny that you posted this. I bought my 3 year old son an Ultra Magnus a couple of weeks ago. As I was checking it out I couldn't help but think of these trucks. The latest Ultra Magnus is by no means a stretch. In fact, it is on the conservative side, compared to these trucks. ( View formatted comment » )

Pretty nice figure. I'll probably have to snap one up when they come out with a Roy Focker VF-1S. ( View formatted comment » )

MosKAU, Gundam colors are acrylic, I'm sure. The best way to thin color, is to mix it in a seperate cup. That way you won't ruin the whole batch. Use an acrylic thinner (Mr. Thinner), though. I don't believe enamel thinner works with acrylic paints, or the other way around. ( View formatted comment » )

I really enjoyed shopping for trading figures in Akiba. In some of the hobby stores, modelers will take trading figures, mod them to great length, and end up with fantastic results. Once a little carving, airbrushing, and accessories are added, some can look pretty darn cool. ( View formatted comment » )

Funny thing is, the most appreciated (and still used) souveneirs I brought back from Japan, were all from a couple of 100 yen shops. The quality of the stuff was outstanding, compared to the dollar store merchandise here in the States. ( View formatted comment » )
