Tekken is pretty lame. No air control, no good oki, system is hardly robust. 100% combos FTL. Even if they are situational. Sure, the parries and chicken system are great, and so are the execution stuff, which forces you to be really accurate, but overall, they could have done it far better and made the game's characters more balanced. Was into SoulCalibur 2 and 3 competitively, almost exclusively female characters for any fighting games I played. Never did like Tekken's system compared to SC's, or the other 2D fighters, though Guilty Gear was pretty good. Too bad it is going down some strange roads. VF5 is touted as the most balanced fighting game out of all the 3D ones, so yeah, learnt about the game mechanics a little from friends who play, I can quite understand why. Damn complex though, not for casual fighter. SC4 will suck. End. ( View formatted comment » )
