Almost never. Although particularly interesting figures had prompted me to look at their originating work, it's how much I've come to love the original that will push me into hitting the buy button =) ( View formatted comment » )

SG customs are pretty strict abt DVD imports... Will one pay through the nose for a DVD that eventually gets destroyed by the close-minded folks? ( View formatted comment » )

Screenshot looks like he's subbing Byousoku 5cm using Aegisub. ^^; A few anime I watched dubbed in mandarin when I was a wee lad eg doremon and shin-chan, now I discovered other sources I usually find Japanese voice acting superior. I do the usual shudder whenever I switch over to eng dub for dual audio disc but I do give it 5 mins to change my opinion. I is fair person =) ( View formatted comment » )

I was constantly looking for all thing japanese on the net for the past yr or so, DC didn't really register in my consciousness probably due to the high figures content. I was watching anime and such just not interested in figures. ^^;; I remember i was looking at some photos for an event in japan where the writer credited DC so I pop by to see the whole photoset in the article. Was lured in actually by the funny comments pple have here, quite a thriving community i think. 6 mths membership and counting, since then I've discovered an... ( View formatted comment » )

Nakamura for me, Peter is a little too emo for my taste. Although I felt they could have done better with the Hiro X Yaeko X Kensei arc ( View formatted comment » )

Sorry Danny, you are probably not the first to use the term. When I was a "wee lad" - another borrowed phrase - we use the same code-speak among laddies so as not to tip off any potential targets within hearing range. That was something like 10~15 yrs ago ^^;; ( View formatted comment » )

I like the high quality images when I click on the individual figures. But when I click the row of thumbnail below the main image it took quite a while to load maybe can preload the thumbnail images in memory when one access the page? The transitions are nice too, very flash-like without being flash itself. SEO reasons again? ^^; ( View formatted comment » )

Uhm won't rehash some of the commenter's choices above like FMP or gunslinger. I propose Claymore. Looking at the ending in the 1st season, I'd guess there's not much chance in a second, unless they want a story that diverges even further than the manga. But I do so want a "fix" to the ending and a continuation of the manga's story in the 2nd season. sigh. ( View formatted comment » )

I was grinning like a madman when I read this, always suspect that tsukasa had a hidden talent somehow. Reverse Gravity Heaven Cork Screw! FTW! Btw I was kinda let down by the food talk in the 1st episode but trust me things will improve if you stick to it. =3 ( View formatted comment » )

Err, I hope peeps here are not inspired by the news to hold weapons for self-defense. Sure I admire the obachan bravery but remember things can turn out very differently. A criminal confronting a victim that is armed can turn even more violent, desperation drives pple mad. So stay safe, try not to provoke the assailant or you might regret it. -_-" ( View formatted comment » )
