I'm from Spain (which got accepted in the European Union in the 1980's) and one of the requirements for a country to become a member of the EU is to respect all human rights (no torture, no death penalty, etc...) I personally believe that death penalty is fair in some situations... but since there is always a margin for mistakes (In the US, 1 in every 3 prisioners condemned to death penalty is found innocent afterwards) I think that the ultimate punishment should be be held in uncommunicated jail for life (come on, this is really even...
