HIS already has some cultural tours. you get to experience making sushi in a sushi restaurant, using the katana etc. and even otaku tours.
I don't know how popular photo tours will be, mainly because I like to take my time when I'm with the camera. I think most photography enthusiasts are this way too. Photo tours just sound a little restrictive, although the idol photo session could be interesting.... esp if hiromi chan will be there. ^^.

getting rejected does suck. despite having been rejected a few times, i did find a cosy place to call my own (for the duration of the rent). being a foreigner, where you come from sometimes matters to japanese landlords too. you might want to get the agent to say you are a foreigner from mars and see if that gets a positive response from the landlord.
