Actually its a bit on the fishy side when the sealing tape on the box isn't cut or re-taped (suggesting that customs didn't mess with it, and every item in a box of 12 figure is opened and you just happen to receive a oddly packed box of trading figures.
Obviously someone decided to open them up looking for chase figures. When you order a box of trading figures the main box is supposed to remain sealed (it wasn't) and each of the 12 individual figures should remain sealed (they were all opened). Actually I'm speaking to someone who is in charge. Second I'm not haphazardly speaking to them, I'm writing letters explaining the situation. Third I've been ordering from HLJ for 7-8 years and have had far more shipments than the 38 you have...I've probably had double that or more total. Forth, this isn't the first time that HLJ has screwed up. Lieing to a customer to resolve an issue and then reneging on their offer is cheating, swindlingk and being a con artist. How is their packaging great. No bubble wrap, no extra paper. Usually I I get for packing is a piece of thin shrink-wrap that is usually torn before I even open the package. The exterior boxes are decent and are typically undamaged, telling me that HLJ packs their stuff like crap. I order stuff from other companies and they at least pack material around the package so it doesn't end up with dented corners. Gotta love it when you spend $240 on a soul of chokogin only to open the package and have half of the box corners dented to crap. ( View formatted comment » )
Actually they are selling the Mikuru as we speak...to people who didn't preorder it. I preordered it as soon as it showed up on thier site. HLJ is just one of the poorest run online companies I've ever seen. It really takes some balls (this happened in the past) to offer someone 50% off their next order to solve an issue and then when the customer goes to use it HLJ refuses to honor the offer. Oh and Anonymous, Yes customs does routinely check packages and when they do it is obvious that that is the case because the box has been re-taped. However, I have repeatedly received packages that have had used and played with figures and toys that been not been re-taped....therefore this was done prior to shipment either at the manufacturer or by HLJ. I've even received one figure that was supposedly a bootleg many years ago. Most of the time I let these things go but this time...I'm not going to stand around and watch while HLJ... You may whole heartedly disagree but you aren't the one having conversations with their representatives. I'm aware of their policies as well. But frankly HLJ's behavior on this matter has emplored me to wholeheartedly mention these incidents on every anime/figure/and Gundam board I can find until they rectify the issue. I have been lied to repeatedly and cheated on the products I have purchased. You have no idea what's going on so whether you disagree or not doesn't mean a bit to me. I'm just curio... Their owner basically blew me off. I've got about $200 sitting worth of preorders with them at the moment that I'm about to cancel. I bet me and my wife (she has her own account) have spent a grand there this year already. Gotta love being treated like crap when your a regular customer for over 7 years.
