I have tell you Danny, the more I read your articles like this one and others, the closer I get to starting my own business. Not so that I can go make speeches, but work with technology in a way that I want to. ( View formatted comment » )

Let's see, Recently for anime it's been Patlabor, Lucky Star, Clannad, Haruhi. For TV shows it's been Nodame Cantabile, Hataraki Man, and Shika Otoko Aoniyoshi and Edison No Haha ( View formatted comment » )

Since I'm the email admin/support for my company and I work overtime, it's not unusual for me to spend eight to ten hours dealing with emails (and phone calls) from our clients. A lot of it is i forgot my password can you tell me what it is/make it 1234 (bad password, very bad) or how do I get/send my email. ( View formatted comment » )

I just got the first volume of Sekirei and it's uncensored, but I didn't get it for that. I didn't really mind the censored images shown when it aired on tv. I really didn't notice the floating nipples defect that's been talked about. I'll get an uncut version if it adds more content, but not really for uncensored content. ( View formatted comment » )

the 15in MBP is on my buy list. But not really a fan of the glossy screens. If I don't get the MBP, the I'll probably get a Toshiba and throw Linux on it. ( View formatted comment » )

I cried at the end of every ep of Clannad. Dango Daizoku is heart-achingly sweet song. But then I cried at the last scene that Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader had. ( View formatted comment » )

Woohoo! I just hope they don't bring back Haruka's fish molesting stalker, that character was a waste of time more than anything else. I liked both seasons, but I wasn't keen on the second season art work ( View formatted comment » )

Granted the first few episodes weren't as good as the ones after episode 5 with the change in directors, I'll say that the show is one of my favorites. I've heard some complaints from people who didn't like based on the "meaningless" conversations about random things from the characters. I usually point out that they've had similar conversations in real life. A few didn't like that reminder, I wonder why? ( View formatted comment » )

The main reasons why I love Patlabor (which are also the same reasons why I have trouble watching Code Geass without lmao) are it's such a possible thing to have in this world (the labors that is). The pilots are trained professionals (not just kids who hop in are suddenly piloting mechs), they pay attention to the little things like, ammo and power management, dealing with lack of training due to budgets, there's episodes with humor and some will thought out political intrigue. The first two movies are more thought-provoking then ac... ( View formatted comment » )

Reading your titters about what your doing (studies/work) always impresses me at your dedication and the variety. It's not unusual for things to just wear at you, but it is surprising at times that when you grind through it, you do come out fine. And from reading your impressive twitters, you'll do fine I've also felt that taking Japanese in a classroom setting can sometimes not offer much. Lately I've been Japanese online get progressed farther in my conversation skills than in a class. But I'll still sign fo... ( View formatted comment » )

I'm currently working on tech support, and while I'm glad to have a job after being unempolyed for three years, I know that support isn't what I want to do. It's a tossup between writing and developing in databases (not admin position). I'm basically trying to find my dreams again. I'd like to post a link if I can for those of us who are struggling with finding what we want to do. It's a link I found from lifehacker.com (lifehacker.com/398740/what-do-you-want-to-do-with-your-life-ebook-helps-you-ans... ( View formatted comment » )

While I'd like to start collecting I really don't have the space right now, even for storage. And I'd really have to come up with a good excuse as to why, other than "Me likey". ( View formatted comment » )

Knowing my "market value" is a little tough. Even though I'm the network administrator, we don't use Active Directory so that hurts me, although I do get to try and figure out problems in this mixed platform network (Mac & Windows) and admining email and web servers. I am learning Japanese by learning on my own and using an online school. This fall, I'll sign up for the second level Japanese course at my local community college. I had thought about working in Japan, but have seen a few job ads listing 35 a... ( View formatted comment » )

On my Mac I use Time Machine. On my XP laptop I use Acronis TrueImage for backups. On my Linux server, it's for testing and practice so I don't back it up. On my Vista box, well, I've come to loathe it so I use it for tinkering around with databases, programming (before I do the work on the other three OS's), gaming, etc. Deciding if I want to buy an MBP or a Toshiba laptop and slap Linux on it for my next major upgrade/hardware replacement ( View formatted comment » )
