Lunch break at work for our department- MARCOM, because there's only 6 of us, can be taken at any time. We usually go around 2pm because 12-1pm is the business in the kitchen/canteen area and that it makes the afternoon shorter by having a slightly later lunch. We have national and state road tolls or traffic accident reports on the news at least weekly if not daily. They usually make a bigger deal about it during holidays to warn people to drive more safely and compare it to previous years' road accident fatalities. Most of t... ( View formatted comment » )

Kung Fu Panda has been out for a month or so here. Thanks to some dodgy workmates, I've seen it on DVD already :P. It was better than I expected. Love the opening 2D sequence and really nice 3D CG animation overall. In fact, I've watched it a second time with my gf. Not sure which to advice you on with your kung fu trooper version though. After Rickrolling, I can't tell you to turn down the cheese factor any more... ( View formatted comment » )

I like the new layout / redesign. The category of the post/article isn't that important to me since it's usually the thumbnail that would catch my eye or not. But it does give me an idea when the thumbnails are a obscure. Not too sure about the grey top banner... I'd suggest you go for the dannychoo.com orange and fade to while so you don't need to invert the dannychoo.com logo on the right. I wouldn't mind if when I hover over either the feature article or a member / danny news post, the entire block goes orang... ( View formatted comment » )

Nice moves, Danny! :D Much appreciate the effort you go since I noticed that everyone in that line was like collapsed from the heat and you're dancing your armour off as a Storm Trooper!! Now, about that upcoming Rick Ashley tribute... can't you do a Bros one instead? "When will I, will I be famous?!" ( View formatted comment » )

I watch most of my anime on my MBP actually. I would watch it on my tv in the lounge just by bringing the portable HD and plug it to the PS3 if I could find AVI versions of anime more easily... Unwanted mags, I usually either throw it in the recycling bin or give it to a cousin or friend if he's interested. The Korean lunch looks yummy as does the Hersey ice cream bite size thingies. Speaking of spicy, can you eat very spicy foods, Danny? DVD rental is still quite popular here. A few local blockbusters and video ezy have closed... ( View formatted comment » )

Congrats Danny! That's great news and it looks like you've achieved that below 5,000 way ahead of your proposed schedule. Always great to visit this site because of all the interesting articles and the great member posts, too!! ^__^ Can't really remember how I got to dannychoo.com in the first place, I'm pretty sure it was from an article from another site that had a link to you as the originating source. My online life has certainly changed ever since I've been coming here regularly, that's for sure and I ap... ( View formatted comment » )

I go here mostly in the evenings, probably after 8pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time). I often have a quick check and browse twice a day at work during the weekdays. Then after dinner, start relaxing and going through the articles and posts here. Probably either keep it open and/or refresh a few times during the night. ( View formatted comment » )

For a moment there I thought all the pics in this post were going to be all cardboard boxes, Danny! >.< All those figures in the glass cabinets at Good Smile office is just too awesome. Wish my office looked like that and had a figure collection along an entire friggin' wall! I've always collected figures before I came to this site but I never (and still don't) got any girlie figures. But this site is really tempting me every time and I want to get a good one as my first. Thanks for the sneaky peaky at Good Smile... ( View formatted comment » )

Hope your back gets better and you remember to do your rehab exercises more often, Danny. I've been feeling really unfit and a bit over-weight the past couple of years, pretty much due to being working long hours working in an office. I've been meaning to get back into jogging more and I've just played another game of indoor soccer with some workmates tonight. Does that sonic mosquito device really work, Danny?? I think animals kept in captivity is generally ok as long as the zoo keepers are professional and know what t... ( View formatted comment » )

Grew up eating dumplings / gyoza / jiaozi or whatever you want to call them. My grandpa ancestors are from the Northern provinces of China and dumplings are a traditional dish in those areas. A whole meal would consist of nothing but dumplings, usually pork and Chinese cabbage inside. My record is about 55 homemade ones in one meal, just boiled and then served with some garlic soy sauce or Chinese vinegar. I also like them pan-fried, especially if they are leftover from the day before. Lots of dumpling places around here and almost all J... ( View formatted comment » )

There are some run-down areas or suburbs here in Melbourne. Generally the houses are so decrepit that they have been left abandoned or that they are in the slum / ghetto areas. Both land and cost of housing (dependent on which area / suburb of course) are at it's highest here in Melbourne (and to a lesser extent in Australia). Prices have been ridiculous and all analysts have been predicting a huge drop in the past 2 years but prices have yet to go down. My parents and I are originally from HK. I used to travel back to see dad at ... ( View formatted comment » )

My grandpa, who is not Japanese btw, made me a hug pillow when I was a kid. It's not as big as one of these dakimakura but it was really nice to sleep with when I was a young lad. I still have it in storage at my parent's place. ( View formatted comment » )

Wow, that's really nice. Looks great on anyone's desk. I'd probably not get any work done and just play around with it all day, making that girly Tachikoma voice and saying stuff like attack mouse, attack modem or attack Wacom!! LOL The Motoko figure that comes with it looks great from Mikatan's blog. ( View formatted comment » )

Thanks for sharing, Danny, both your not-so-good childhood and also the lovely SAFSs!! Really appreciate it. Very sad to hear that you were treated so poorly as a kid as I think nobody should be put through that but like you mentioned, I think some of those events did make you into who you are today, a determined and successful and above all happy person. Can't share anything as remotely as bad as your childhood Danny, fortunately for me I've had a very peaceful and nurturing time growing up. The only similarities I share with...
