That depends on your definition of nature actually. People usually put a fine line between what is "force of nature" and "man made". We have the word "nature" so that we can make a distinction between what effects humans have caused and the effects of everything else. Am I the only one actually hoping that something goes wrong and the localized collision of particles actually does cause a catastrophe? Think about it. Throughout human history, the affect we've had on this planet is severely dwarfed by natural forces such as tectonic movement. We have nukes and can kill a good 90% of all life but that's been outdone by nature before during extinction events. Never have mankind created anything that can generate more force than nature... until now.
