Of course, I can't read Japanese, so if anyone that can read Japanese could go to the actual TTGL Parallax site and confirm/deny this, that'd be greatly appreciated :P. ( View formatted comment » )

Maybe I misunderstood, but I believe these videos are it - they're just little shorts that they're doing for fun. From the site linked in the post: "various members of GAINAX’s staff are pairing Gurren Lagann music with new, alternate world animations. This first one is animator Watanabe Keisuke’s, and it combines the song Rap wa Kan no Tamashii da! with a fantasy setting. " So next one will probably be a completely different ministoryline with a different theme music. It's not a continuation or a re... ( View formatted comment » )

Very minor o_O? You insult me and my heritage, sir. Canada joined WWII only 4 days after the UK declared war on Germany after the invasion of Poland (it took years of war-time fighting for the US to become involved - and even then, they joined only after they had been bombed). Throughout the war, Canada neared complete militarization of the nation, having proportionally one of the largest armies involved in the war. By 1945 and the end of WWII, Canada was the 4st most powerful military nation on the planet. ( View formatted comment » )

Hehehe, just watched episode 1 of this today. It was better than expected, so it's currently on my 'maybe' watch list. I really wasn't looking for another plot-lacking, cutesie kind of anime right now, so we'll see how it fares in the next few episodes. ( View formatted comment » )

I would definitely take the foot warmers. That's the only part of my body that regularly gets cold when I'm at my computer, and I hate putting blankets on the floor or wearing socks when I'm inside. ( View formatted comment » )

D-Blade: Typically recalls are made before any incidents occur - hence why they're being recalled. These are due to variations in the manufacturing process that had otherwise been undetected until a recent test was made. For the amount of electronics produced, the number of recalls are really, really quite low - you're looking a the company losing millions of dollars in lost product and even more in reputation. This is not something they want happening any more than the consumer does. Honestly, you're more likely to get in a... ( View formatted comment » )

Yes, they most definitely can guarantee safety. These phones (rather, the batteries) don't just explode on their own. There are numerous safeties in place to prevent a battery from shorting when used properly. More likely than not the man was using a fake/counterfeit battery to save a few bucks, or he spilled something into his phone and never bothered to worry about it. Over time, a spill can result in a short circuit (due to the formation of dendrites) in the battery, which leads to the eventual explosion - or more typically, a qui... ( View formatted comment » )
