The only thing I keep hearing about Dragonauts is how almost every female there has these gigantic eyes (almost as big as their heads). ( View formatted comment » )
Wow. Even without the color, I can still feel the intensity of that figure. If she's just as good with the color, consider me signed up for an order! ( View formatted comment » )
Unless it's a mecha, I tend to avoid figmas or Revoltechs as the exposed joints look odd to me on a 'person'. Instead I prefer the ones with the dramatic poses. I've already placed my order for the Saber Gift Ver. ^_^ Shiny. ( View formatted comment » )
I don't know if the term originated from the site, but I also would have to say the first time I heard the term was from Jason Miao's site Derailed By Darry (formerly Anime On My Mind). He actually has a lexicon http://derailedbydarry.com/omake/lexican/) of some of the other phrases that he says often in his site. Although I'm not seeing another of his favorite world "twincest" ^_^;; ( View formatted comment » )
I'm 30, turning 31 in two months. Usually, I never go about thinking "man, my old". I yam what I yam.
However, it's when I'm part of a discussion and most people say things like "I've never seen Macross" or "My first anime is Evangelion (or Haruhi, etc)", that's when I feel ancient. ^_^ ( View formatted comment » )
Oh man. Seeing the screenshots brings back memories of the original series (through it's US mutation, Robotech). During 1983 and summer of '84, there just wasn't anything to compare against the drama and story that is SDF Macross.
I really hope that this is the spark the reignites the franchise. Other than the original series/DYRL movie and Macross Plus, Macross has been either nonexistent or disappointing overall.

Hmm... other than Lucky Star, I didn't see anything in the list that I would consider "Top Ten" quality. This kinda makes me wonder if the shows that are popular with the US bloggers aren't as popular overall in Japan (i.e. Gurren Lagann). ( View formatted comment » )
Wow. Talk about a trip down memory lane (and in the case of 0079, a embarrassing one). Watching all of these openings sure brings back memories. Especially of 0083: Stardust Memories and 8thMS Team, the two Gundam series that I actively watched (as opposed to 0079, which I watched as a kid on TV since it was cartoons). Gundam sure has come a long way as a franchise. Wish I could say the same for Macross... ( View formatted comment » )
Lol. This reminds of a movie that's coming out in two weeks called Lars and the Real Girl http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0805564/). A story of a socially awkward man, who in his delusion ends up believe a lifesize female doll to be his girlfriend, while his entire town awkwardly trying to humor him. ( View formatted comment » )
