You've just given me a reason to try out Rosario and Vampire. Often find these censoring gimmicks in anime to be more fun and novel than the "real" version. Well, until you get minutes at a time blocked out. ( View formatted comment » )

You know, I still have some old lemons decomposing in my crisper. I'll see if I can get some good juice out of them and I'll try your preparation with some of my steamed brains. ( View formatted comment » )

Thanks. It's one of those things living alone does to a person... I think. ( View formatted comment » )

Looks incredibly mouth-watering. I'll be sure to give this a go next time I get a cut of shank. ( View formatted comment » )

With relatives and sometimes close asian friends, there's kind of a fight to see who pays the bill. With normal friends and unknowns, everything's split kind of even-ish. ( View formatted comment » )

Mabinogi... it kind of makes boring and repetitive quests into boring and repetitive household chores... and with fantasy element. You have the potential to do any combination of skills since there are no classes, but that is how they make money off of you as you buy character cards to reset your level and age so you can get more skill points. I'd probably make a stupid slip like "Are you a catgirl? Because I've got an erection." ( View formatted comment » )

Isn't having a loli in bondage as a car decal kind of like saying... something extremely unflattering about the driver? ( View formatted comment » )

Sending in vouchers versus rifling through Good Smile Company's rubbish bins... which would yield the greater treasures I wonder? ( View formatted comment » )

Hmm. My classical literature and school textbooks take up more shelves than my otaku-centric collection, although my shelves are deep enough for me to double-shelve small manga and light novels. ( View formatted comment » )

I'm in despair! This world where cute girls have more fun with other cute girls instead of a poor bachelor has me in despair! ( View formatted comment » )

For those who can't read Japanese themselves but want to read the novel after seeing comments about it, there is an English translation project at http://www.baka-tsuki.net/project/index.php?title=Toradora! You can find the light novel published in Chinese, too. ( View formatted comment » )

I thought waxed paper and food-contaminated paper couldn't be recycled? I thought they trash those at the recycling plant? ( View formatted comment » )

Hm. Have watched maybe over a hundred different hentai anime? Recent ones I've liked are probably Renketsu Houshiki [Hold] or the first Hatsu Inu series that came out a while back. ( View formatted comment » )

Ah, my old roommate used to do this when I lived in the dorms. He and his girlfriend would just play the "opposite game": "No, we weren't having sex", "No, I'm not naked", "No, we were just talking." ( View formatted comment » )

I live in the East Bay area in California west of San Francisco. The buses are usually great until they adjust the schedule like they do every quarter or half-year--then you tend to waste time waiting for them to update the schedules at bus stops, and for the drivers to realize they should be coming a quarter hour earlier than they used to. Usually have to run to a different bus line if I've got a hard deadline. Oh, and aside from that, the only major disruptions I've had are from protestors blocking roads so the bus drivers end up by... ( View formatted comment » )

They went a bit wild with the parodies and memes especially toward the end. So sad the first years only got a quarter of the episode. ( View formatted comment » )

My Vista x32 machine doesn't give me trouble, my XP machine doesn't need upgrading, and my Win2k is a mule for storage. I've had many chances to use Macs at my school computing facilities since they never have a queue (unlike the PC's), but it's been a hassle learning all the keyboard shortcuts and acquainting myself to using finder rather than explorer... and that annoying mouse; this after five years of using Macs between classes. I think the problem is $ony tried to put too much into the PS3 and assumed people would pay the higher price based on the virtue that it was the next Playstation, so they've been selling the console at a loss since launch. This complicates further price cutting to anywhere near a Wii unless they hack away at the horsepower that hardcore techies really like. Micro$oft made a better judgement between specs and price, I believe, and Nintendo has the Wiimote... even though most games barely seem to take advantage of it. ( View formatted comment » )
