I'm still using Windows XP despite having Vista Ultimate on one of my HDD's partitions (I somehow acquired this copy of Vista for free ^^;). I really regret allotting half of my HDD's space to it though since I never use it. There are too many bugs and little driver support for me to start using it as my main OS. I also don't see the need to have flashy visuals that take up 1 GB of RAM while idling (even though I have 3 GB's of DDR2). I can just use WindowBlinds or some other theme for XP to make it look snazzy. DirectX 10 is really the only feature of Vista that I could benefit from. But then again, I rather have double the framerate in games over improved textures and effects.
As for my laptop, I just installed Ubuntu Linux on it and it runs fine. Vista would not even be an option considering it's 5 years old and has 256MB of RAM. Once I pickup a new laptop later this year, Vista is getting uninstalled immediately. (
