I prefer manga for the plot and story continuity, Anime for the fighting scenes it is easier to comprehend because fighting scene in manga sometimes are a little messy...

this incident has nothing to do with being an otaku. The man has some serious psychological problems it's just unfortanate that his delusions are directed towards something we love in common, ANIME. Given that there is no such thing ever existed to be known as anime he will still be doing that incident and find another thing where he can direct his delusions.

maybe for us non Japanese it's a bit off but for them it's cool considering that they're not primarily an english speaking country. I never experience bullying in my entire life probably because I'm just to plain for some bastards to make fun of me.....
As I have seen in my high school days, bullying usually takes place at the fist and second year (13-14 yrs old). After that all the people around you seems more mature...
FYI: In the Philippines Grade School is 6 yrs (from 7 - 12 yrs of age) then 4yrs of high school (13-16 yrs of age)
