There's a difference between having someone who knows the area take you around to places, and getting a "tour," in my opinion.
I've heard stories about tours in Asia, though, that y'know they take you to some shop and you go in and don't really see anything you like, but then your tourguide tries to tell you that the shop owner has 20 kids and everyone has AIDS and he needs money.
If I was alone I might take a tour. If I was with friends I would probably just wander around until we spotted something neat. ( View formatted comment » )
The bus I take isn't too crowded, and there aren't very many makeup girls or loud mobilers, so I'll have to say farters are the biggest concern.
What bothers me the most about transit is getting off the bus and being blasted with sand/dust because the streets haven't been washed yet (to get rid of the sand they put down in the winter for traction). ( View formatted comment » )
I long for the day when I have a nice digital camera and am living or travelling somewhere where I can go about the city and take pictures of random, yet interesting things. You seem to have fairly eventful days. I'm jealous. ( View formatted comment » )
I follow some American shows (CSI, Bones, House, as well as a sitcom here and there), but the volume of "good anime" out there, in my opinion, exceeds the volume of "good American dramas" out there. That said, I generally enjoy watching my weekly episode of [A-drama] more than my weekly episode of [anime], though there are exceptions (Gundam 00, for example, was probably one of the best shows I've watched, A-drama or anime).
So for A-drama, there is less of it that I enjoy, but the stuff I enjoy, I enjoy a lot.

I often see people walking around school with cameras. Personally I duck behind the nearest garbage can/person/water fountain if someone has their camera pointed in my general direction, but if it's friends and I know they're just uploading to, say, facebook, then I don't mind. I have a fairly limited web design background, but from looking at the site it seems like it wouldn't be an incredibly omgwtfhuge undertaking to do this:
You could consider making the site "scalable" to different resolutions. I run at 1920x1200 and there's plenty of space on the sides of the page, so, in combination with being able to select what things you want to see, you could set what resolution you're at (or the page could scale to the size of your browsing window) in order to be able to see more.

There ARE some pretty nice monitors at that size. I have a 27" Samsung 275T and up until I bought my 46" Sharp Aquos 92u (model #) LCD this week, I used that for playing videogames, watching movies (DVD or HD), watching satellite TV.
My ONLY complaint about it is that if you're watching a really dark scene, the black doesn't get *really* black, and you can see some uneven backlighting in those scenes. That's something that I only saw once every week or two, so it really wasn't an annoying issue.
