Uh wow, that is just awesome. Kinda suck though you can't take photos.
I hate it when you go somewhere and you can't take a picture. I can understand flash lights are weathering the paint or damaging the colors ina *very* long term. But i can't understand why they do that, maybe for the hype it will generate? and why the hell is that gundam sleeping? wihy didn't they make it stand up?! fuzakeruna...
That Gundam is awesome! Another reason why I must go to Japan next year. Hopefully by that time they'll allow photos...please!
I sure would! How many 1:1 scale Gundams exist? =) It does kinda stink we can't take photos, but I would love to see it in real scale. One thing I will have to do when I visit Japan.
The japan army someday will build a real and will be the begining of the mecha era. This is only the prelude :o

Such a huge model and no photos a shame though. Still its nice to see a live size robot model but I wonder why its not standing up? It would have been better if bandai made it stand up.
Now, if only I can buy this "model" :3 And yay for open registrations, I missed out before (since I didn't have a camera back then...)

I personally think it'll be cool just seeing THE original Gundam with your own eyes...speaking of which, has anybody seen the design of the Gundam RX-78 in Gundam Evolve 15? Any opinions about the new design?
It looks awsome, although I'd prefer to see a to scale version of Chars Modified Zaku, I'd still like to see this. IKIMASU!
The detail on that thing is just amazing. Would love to see it someday. Hopefully it's still there by the time i get to Japan, which is like probably years from now. heheh! ^^

So they don't want personal publicity from fans? Too bad, so sad. @Angelo Visconti and Akiraman: I guess that making it stand would require more structures (which purpose would be to support it, etc.) and a HUGE hangar. I also feel that they didn't want people to only watch its feet *laughs*. But hey, a standing Gundam would have been much better, I agree.
I am wondeirng what material it is made out of? Plywood or light-weight metal? In fact, can the Gundam stand up too or it is just lying there?

Oh man, how I would love to see a 1:1 Gundam...I'll probably never get to see something like that. It's a good thing we have things like this site to fill the holes in our hearts. ;P
How can they not allow fans to take photos????? what have they got to hide? is somebody competing with them & building a 1:1 Zaku???????? Seriously, if taking pictures was that much of an issue then why host an event so fans can see it??? Unless its an actually fully operational gundam with its on fusion generator & lasers that actually fire then Id understand, in fact Id stress it even more so that we be able to sit in it :)

I still want to see this even if I can't take photos. Looks like lighting stinks anyways. I can see trying to get good exposure with all those weak, compact camera flash strobes going off. ^^;
Now in a few years, they will charge extra to for 5 minute rides on it for that real gundam experiance.

No photos allowed? Thats a bit crappy, isnt it? Looks really cool, but i have a feeling that it will be the only really intresting thing there - thats where all the money went! Id rather see a life-size gundam standing rather than flat on its back. Would probably cost a lot more though.
the 1:1 scale Gundam is totally awesome but Bandai prohibiting from taking pictures is such a kill joy...

Anybody got a big cowboy hat they can cut a hole & fit a high MPx cam in??? lol. somebody should of had some sense to take a hidden cam unless people were getting searched on the way in
ok wait I think I remember seeing this on an Anime once.... we just need some annoying kid to "fall" into the cockpit during some large scale emergency... we got no Zaku yet so maybe we get Godzilla to stir up some trouble? and ill change my name to Amero! and bang! as many pictures in any pose we could possibly want! Then for fun we take it to California... to Anaheim... and find an electronics company to park it in front of? Ok maybe not... ill take my medacation.
